“Departures from these practices should never be countenanced because they risk allowing prosecutors to impact national elections.” -Todd Blanche on DOJ’s 60-day rule, September 2024
Q: The typical practice is DOJ doesn't usually release charges this close to an election. Even though Ms Lucas isn't on the ballot, her daughter is. So can you speak to the reason of the timing?
BLANCHE: The 60 day or 90 day practice is not in writing. That's not part of the justice manual. There's nothing improper.

An MPP whose behavior Doug Ford previously said was "irresponsible" and "totally unacceptable" is now being accepted back onto the team with new responsibilities.
Ford's government has no integrity at all.
NEW: Education Minister Paul Calandra tells me he's "very excited" to have Stan Cho on his team, and that the "quality of his work since he's been an MPP is literally second to none."
Premier Ford announced Cho will be joining Calandra’s team as a parliamentary assistant — just three months after Cho resigned from cabinet for charging taxpayers $16,000 in Toronto hotel stays.
The new role comes with a $22,500 pay bump. Ford declined to comment. Story: thetrillium.ca/insider-news/…

Wow! We actually have a foreign agent working (“volunteering”) for the United States. That foreign agent is married to the President’s daughter.
If you don’t see anything wrong with this, then you have been absorbed by the cult.
Kushner also failed to disclose himself as an agent of a foreign government, having been paid nearly $2 billion in total by foreign leaders. trib.al/OTkGEv6

In July, when asked about his frivolous use of taxpayer funds for unnecessary hotel stays, Premier Ford described then-minister Stan Cho’s behaviour as “totally unacceptable.” Today, he gave him a new title — and a $22,500 raise.
What changed, Premier? And what does accountability actually mean to you?
Ah, the famous Ford government accountability. Lie, cheat and steal your way to the top. Loyalty to selves and donors over tax payers, always

ROGERS IS ABOUT TO CHARGE 🇨🇦 FOR THE PRIVILEGE OF PAYING THEIR BILL.
You can’t make this stuff up.
Starting January 17, 2027, Rogers and Fido will introduce a 1.6% processing fee for customers paying their phone & internet bills by credit card.
On a $200 monthly bill, that’s another $38.40 a year. Just for paying your bill.
And here’s the kicker.
Quebec customers are exempt. Why? Because Quebec’s consumer protection laws prohibit these surcharges.
Apparently, consumers in the rest of Canada don’t deserve the same protection.
Remember, Telus tried this in 2022. Consumer backlash eventually helped push it to reverse course.
In 2022, Rogers said it had no plans to introduce a similar fee. Four years later, here we are.
This is what happens when competition is weak. Instead of fighting to win customers, companies find new ways to charge the ones they already have.

Doug Ford adds former realtor to Paul Calandra's Ministry of Education that is spending most of it's time meeting with realtors to sell off school property?
NEW: Former tourism minister Stan Cho, who resigned from Premier Ford's cabinet after facing criticism for spending thousands on Toronto hotel rooms despite living in the city, has been named parliamentary assistant to Education Minister Paul Calandra. #onpoli
So the public education Ministry, which has been maligned for poor fiscal management, will be saved by the king of tax payer funded hotel stays?

Whoa. The U.S. added 90% fewer jobs in 2025 than originally reported.
That’s not a rounding error. That’s a massive difference between the economy Americans were told we had and the one we actually had.
Stan Cho has never, to my knowledge, shown any proof that he reimbursed Ontario taxpayers for the thousands and thousands of dollars of our money he chose to spend on luxury downtown Toronto hotels, nor ever explained why he chose to stay downtown vs return to his home nearby!

In 2020, Tommy Tuberville promised to donate “every dime” of his $174,000 Senate salary to Alabama veterans and their families. A June investigation found no evidence he followed through, a pledge now worth roughly $1 million.
Tuesday night, after a reporter asked about it, Tuberville told staff to remove him. Then he called the media “socialists” and “communists.”
The MAGA senator had a reporter thrown out of a campaign dinner after being confronted with an embarrassing question.
