Please find here some recommendations around service evaluation for areas that are commissioning third party stop smoking services as part of their mix of provision. These are based on insights from a recently completed independent evaluation of Allen Carr conducted by London South Bank University: The uptake, engagement and effectiveness of Allen Carr Easyway (ACE) commissioned for a stop smoking service: a service evaluation. Many with such cause and consequence are having to pay for private prescriptions for GLP-1 treatment due to inadequate Tier3/ Tier4 weight management service provision. Commissioning would indeed make obesity a treatable for many manifestations of respiratory disease
