The Mahindra XUV 3XO was a part of the MotorBeam long term fleet from July to December. We had the AX7L Petrol AT variant which retails at Rs. 17.17 lakh OTR Mumbai. Talking about running costs, the vehicle delivered 8-9 km/l in Mumbai traffic and around 12-14 km/l on highways. The running cost per km came out to be around Rs. 10-11 per km. The 1.2-litre petrol engine is quite powerful making 130 horses and it is tuned really well. The vehicle feels at ease while cruising as well as during quick overtakes. The AT matches the engine well. You get Zip, Zap, Zoom driving modes too, out of which Zoom mode makes the car a little too responsive to throttle inputs and is best suited for the highway. We didn’t face any major issues as such, but the left speakers of the car would sometimes stop working on their own and the issue would automatically get fixed on its own after some time. The XUV 3XO offers a sorted suspension setup and the ride is quite nice on our roads. The vehicle is a decent handler as well. The white interiors are prone to getting dirty and the automaker could consider offering a darker shade for the upholstery as an option. The XUV 3XO proved itself to be a strong product. It has a loaded interior, comfy seats and a powerful engine. While the top AX7L variant feels a little pricey, one can get the regular AX7 for almost Rs. 2 lakh lesser, without missing out on much. The mid variants are also VFM. How many XUV 3XO owners here? Share your ownership experiences.

Maruti Suzuki has introduced a swivel seat option for the WagonR, aimed at improving vehicle accessibility for senior citizens and persons with disabilities. • The swivel seat is designed to make ingress and egress easier without replacing the original OEM seat or modifying the vehicle’s structure. • The kit can be installed on new WagonR models or retrofitted on existing vehicles at ARENA dealerships. • Installation time is approximately one hour and the kit comes with a 3-year warranty. • The project has been launched as a pilot across 11 cities through over 200 ARENA dealerships, with expansion dependent on customer response. • The swivel seat has been tested and approved by the Automotive Research Association of India and complies with required safety standards. • The solution has been developed in collaboration with TRUEAssist Technology Private Limited under Maruti Suzuki’s startup incubation programme with NSRCEL-IIM Bangalore.

We are driving the Porsche Cayenne GTS which retails at Rs. 2.44 Crore, OTR Mumbai. This behemoth comes powered by a 4.0-litre V8 engine making 500 horses and 660 Nm! Power is sent to all four wheels through an 8-speed automatic gearbox and you get drive modes like Normal, Sport, Sport Plus and Off Road. The Porsche Cayenne gets 21-inch tyres and the alloys on our test car cost an additional Rs. 3.11 lakh! In fact; this colour Montego Blue Metallic costs Rs. 7.29 lakh! The vehicle comes with a sporty yet ergonomic cabin. The Adaptive Sports Seats are extremely comfortable and the GTS interior theme looks lovely. The vehicle has 14 Bose speakers. The Cayenne is quite long at 4.9-metres but doesn’t feel that big when you drive it. It feels tight and sporty! The V8 engine offers addictive performance and it sounds very nice! The SUV has amazing body control and the steering is very precise. The air suspension is stiffly sprung but the ride is manageable in Normal mode. In Sport Plus, the vehicle gets quite stiff and aggressive. The Porsche Cayenne GTS is a great sports car for daily use. It is practical enough for our roads and yet offers excellent thrills. A lovely driving experience with this one!
