The Wazir tribesman at the end of the clip was a favorite pet of his British masters, who nicknamed him 'George'. He was an army runner.

Ironically, the few Punjabi Muslim chieftains who did resist the Sikhs, and who are mentioned with pride by Punjabi nationalists, preferred Kabul's Afghan rule over the Khalsa Raj. There was little to no place for them in the "Only Khalsa Raj Karega" order of things. 1/4
All the tribes, clans, and kingdoms in Pakistan that resisted Ranjit Singh’s expansionism: 1. Local Pashtuns in Nowshehra (1823) and Jamrud (1837) 2. Mujahideen movement in Balakot and Hazara 3. Multan - resisted seven times 4. The Chatthas of Gujranwala 5. The Rajput Bhattis of Hafizabad 6. Rai Ahmad Kharal led tribes in Sahiwal 7. The Ghakkars and Janjuas in Pindi, Attock, and Jhelum 8. The Pathan colony of Kasur Acknowledging Pakistan’s pre colonial past doesn’t mean turning every non Muslim ruler into a “hero” for some cosmetic DEI and pluralism brownie points today.

Once these chieftains were defeated and their territories were annexed and distributed to Sikh and Hindu sardars, no further resistance or rebellion occurred against Sikha Shahi. There was complete calm in those territories afterward, and if a Sardar Ji ordered him to jump, 3/4

As if your that ranch mouth ( addressed as "Muhtaram Rizwan Razi Sahab" by you) cares about such details. They were Pashtuns, so they are "gatiya" for him.

Actually, the courage of Man Singh was badly shaken after a closely contested battle with Pashtuns. He was removed from governorship of Kabul because he was unable to gather courage to fight Pashtuns in the hills again. Abu Fazal (the court historian of Akbar) writes: 1/4
Raja Man Singh was the only man in the last 2000 years to have conclusively defeated and enslaved Afghans on their home turf. A feat which even modern powers such as the Americans and Russians have failed to achieve. Raja Man Singh was the best military commander of his times.

After 1595, the Mughals never concerned themselves with the hill Yousafzais (of Buner, Swat, and Dir) again. While to contain the plain Yousafzais (of Swabi and Mardan), they used the Khattaks and strategic forts (such as Attock, Nowshera, Peshawar, Langarkot, and Hund).
Someone arrange 'ghar wapsi' for @odysseuslahori. No "subjugation," "crushing," or "shattering of resistance" of the Yousafzais occurred in 1586. The Yousafzais kept resisting the Mughals for the next nine years, and Mughals could not subdue them and eventually gave up in 1595.

In case anyone is confused as to who the hell Daulat Khan was (who is imagined as a Punjabi ruler of the entire present-day Afghanistan in this make-believe map), he was the disgraced Bhatti nobleman of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan who is labeled as a coward in Mughal sources. 1/3

Daulat Khan Bhatti was given the governorship of Kandahar province in 1648. Late that year, the Safavids besieged Kandahar. The fort had two years' worth of supplies and could easily withstand a prolonged siege, but an unnerved Daulat Khan surrendered after 57 days of siege 2/3

I would not refer to him as a Pashtun, as he did not speak Pashto and there was nothing Pashtun about him. 'A descendant of Pashtuns' or 'Pathan' would be more apt descriptors.
Nawab Mustafa Khan was a Bangash Pashtun, with an Urdu takhallus شیفتہ and Persian حسرتی

This pendu is saying that "Punjabis" had ruled Kabul and Kandahar for 200 years by the time of Ahmad Shah Abdali, and thus the two regions can be asked to return (to Punjab?). He has turned Mughals into Punjabis. He has the nerve to call the Afghans jahil when he himself is one.
