Someone once stopped me as I was stepping out of my Lambo “How many starving people could you have fed with the money you spent on that?” I told him the truth: “I don't know. But it fed the 1,800 families of the people who built it. It fed the designers. The carbon-fiber suppliers. The tyre manufacturers. The 300 technicians who spent hundreds of hours hand-crafting this machine with pride.” That’s the difference. Socialism demands you divide the pie Capitalism pays people to bake a bigger one Do you understand?

Marriage used to be the starting point. Two people would come together with almost nothing to their name, but each other, and then they would build everything side by side. This process of building led to bonding, it built loyalty, it required tremendous sacrifice and most of all it taught interdependence. But now we are told the opposite. We are told instead that we need to have it all before we marry. We need a good career, a home, a bunch of money in the bank, your entire identity discovered and solidified, a passport filled with stamps, a degree and much dating experience. The problem with this is that by the time two people finally decide to join one another, well they have spent most of their lives learning how to do life alone. So it is not wonder then that building a life with someone else, suddenly feels so much harder. Marriage used to be a beginning, not it is an after thought to an already built life. Two already self-sufficient and self-reliant people do not easily merge and mesh. It is hard to go from the perspective of “mine”, to “ours”, when individualism is all we have ever known. And this is why individualism has become the death of marriage.

We often take for granted the very aspects of our lives that most deserve our presence and gratitude. How often do you pause to appreciate your health, family, work, home, or other seemingly stable fixtures in your life? Remember, nothing in life is fixed or guaranteed forever.

Don't wait until your marriage is in crisis to start working on your relationship. Invest in your marriage continually and there's a good chance you'll prevent the crisis...

Every marriage goes through storms. The good news is that storms are only temporary. If you don't give up in the storms, you won't miss out on the beautiful parts of marriage.

So many marriage today suffer from "marriage insanity." Marriage insanity is hoping your marriage will improve and your spouse will change, without anyone really having to work at it at all.

It's really hard to have a "marriage made in heaven" ... if you're not going to let God play a major role in it.

If you want to stay together for life, build your marriage on these three pillars: 1.The man leads with strength and purpose. 2.The woman respects and supports that leadership. 3.Both refuse to involve the outside world in their private struggles. No posting fights on social media. No running to family or friends to complain. Solve your problems behind closed doors like adults. Marriage is a private kingdom, not a public debat

When Sharon and I got married, the first diamond I bought her was tiny. It definitely wasn't anything that would turn heads. But here's what I've learned after all these years: the size of the diamond has absolutely nothing to do with the strength of the marriage. We built our marriage first. We built wealth over time. Then, years later, we upgraded the ring. Don't go into debt trying to buy a symbol of a great marriage. Build one instead.

Husbands seem to settle where there is peace, wives bring peace where they're treated well. Notice, it takes effort from both sides to make it work

Don't just give up on someone because the situation is not perfect. Great marriages aren't great because they have no problems, they are great because both people care enough about the other person to find out a way to make it work. Never give up!

Life will always bring unexpected challenges. While you cannot control every circumstance, you can always choose your response. Character is revealed not when everything is easy, but when life becomes difficult. Your response has the power to shape your future more than your circumstances ever will.
