I've seen so many edgy accounts, all with a common theme, trying their hardest to make people feel like shit for being excited about the most anticipated piece of media in history. It's been 13 years since the last GTA. We're just 1 month away from the biggest game in history. Relish this pre release hype because it won't come around often.

CBS Miami also compared areas from the game to their real-life counterparts, and mentioned the research Rockstar did in the city to capture an authentic vibe.

GTA VI has been officially rated in Australia.
Interestingly, they give each category a ranking and a key alongside it. This means that we can compare GTA VI’s content to GTA V’s.
The left image is what GTA V received and on the right is GTA VI’s. This helps us put into perspective how far Rockstar is truly pushing things with this game. Pretty nuts considering that GTA V was considered VERY controversial at the time.

GTA 6’s marketing so far has been nothing like any video game.
Its being treated like a luxury, cultural event rather than just a video game. Through airing a trailer on Netflix, partnering up with Fashion magazines, making a whole music album for the game that features massive musical artists, and literally branding Miami itself in the Vice City name including turning their Miami Heat team into a GTA 6-themed one.
It’s built up a very unique image of being far more than a game, but a real cultural event that goes across music, sport, fashion and art as a whole.
It’s a fascinating approach and one no other franchise has the credibility or popularity to replicate. Truly one of a kind event we are going through, building up to launch next month.

Honestly, the saddest part of Rockstar’s statement is that they feel the need to apologize for taking their time to finish GTA VI and for not communicating more.
They’re apologizing for… making the game.
That really says something about the pressure this team has been under. After everything, I hope people can give them the space to finish GTA VI and let the work speak for itself.

The leak isn't entertainment. It's disgraceful.
People are applauding GTA 6 leaks as if they've accomplished something. They haven't. They're celebrating the violation of the work of thousands of people and a company that invested billions to build one of the biggest projects in gaming history.
Imagine spending years creating, developing, testing, and investing billions into something, only to have someone steal it and watch millions of people rush to consume it and celebrate the violation.
The sad part is that gaming used to be different. You waited. You imagined. You built anticipation. You saw a trailer when the company chose to show it. You discovered the game at the right moment. There was surprise. There was respect for the release.
Today, every piece of information has to be consumed immediately, shared instantly, and turned into a spectacle. No patience. No respect. Not even the ability to wait.
And they call that “freedom of information.”
No. It's simply an inability to respect someone else's work.
A generation so desperate to see everything before its time that it has forgotten how special it is to discover something for the first time.
And honestly? A weak, impatient, and shameful generation.
