For some children, thier only escape from their abuse, and their only opportunity to tell someone about it, is when they are at school.
On March 12, 2020, Ohio was the FIRST state to implement statewide school closures. 15 other states quickly followed Ohio’s lead. Acton’s school closure order LOCKED Ohio CHILDREN down WITH their ABUSERS 24/7.

The Ashville community is in the fight of their lives to protect their local water supply and the Teays Valley aquifer which is estimated to supply water to nearly 4 million Ohio residents.
In late August, Chemical exposure expert Stephen Petty submitted expert testimony to the Ohio Power Siting Board regarding serious potential contamination concerns for the Teays Valley aquifer and Ashville’s municipal water supply. Ohio Advocates for Medical Freedom also submitted testimony calling for a halt on all construction until proper water safety assessments were done and made available to the public.
Yesterday, Senator Reynolds called on the OPBS and the EPA to “require an independent assessment of the potential effects on the aquifer and on public water supplies and private wells before approving this project. That review should consider water use, construction activities, and wastewater.”

Palestine and has donated his time and expertise to helping OAMF write the environmental provisions in HB 983 (Data Center Accountability & Citizen Protection Act) as well as being our expert witness testifying on water contamination concerns to the Ohio Select Committee on Data Centers.
On Aug. 29th Stephen submitted expert testimony to the Ohio Power Siting Board regarding the proposed Ashville, OH hyperscale data center with gas power facility and his concerns of potential water contamination of Ashville water supply and the Teays Valley aquifer.

I was thankful to be part of helping facilitate a much needed Data Center conversation today between Governor candidate Ramaswamy and the citizens who are on the ground fighting for their communities, their land, and their water!
We were also thankful to have several local elected officials and state elected officials (including HB 983 joint sponsor, Rep. Teska) there to participate in the conversation regarding the harm that data centers are causing to local residents.
Ohioans are suffering all across the state and want ACTION on POLICY that will meaningfully affect their lives and PROTECT their communities. We look forward to seeing how the conversation today shapes Vivek’s Data Center Policy moving forward.

Who do you want to give you a plan?
The petition circulators or the actual elected officials state legislators who authorize and appropriating taxpayer money across 4 state budget vehicles.
If it is the latter, I would not expect them to provide solutions or alternative ballot initiatives until such time that we secure the resolution on the ballot. Why should they? It’s not in their interest to lead with what they’re spending our money on.
Simply signing and ensuring that this petition becomes a resolution on the ballot prompts the legislature to show us “the plan”.
Since the initiation of this citizen-led petition ballot Circulator to abolish property taxes, the legislature got off their butt and passed 4 bills.
Do you think any bills would’ve passed had it not been for people being fed up and initiating this effort? I don’t.
Maybe you should sign the petition to get the legislature to do what they must and have refused to do for decades? If you don’t see the plan before the election then vote no on passing the initiative on the ballot.
