Today, I was working with other people with epilepsy. The terms “invisible disability” and “internalized ableism” came up.
Epileptics found a vocabulary for their lived experiences.
But these words only have meaning because we had already realized them before they were found.

Saskatchewan had a decent inclusive policy before, but I tip my hat to them upon finding that #PWD are being paid equally! 👏👍@InclusionCA IMHO should also incl PW non-visible #disabilities.
This is a fantastic read. Inclusive hirings are a win-win situation. It is illogical for businesses to struggle with "help wanted" signs while half a million capable people with intellectual disabilities and autism are sitting on the sidelines. Inclusion Canada, in partnership with the Autism Alliance of Canada, runs the Ready, Willing and Able (RWA) initiative.
This program has successfully placed thousands of individuals into competitive roles, demonstrating that this demographic is more than capable of meeting employers' needs across the country.
Inclusion Canada CEO Krista Carr and Inclusion Saskatchewan executive director Christina Martens-Funk spoke with Sask Today.
