Google has since cut off Discover-Tech's access to its ad platforms, and IAB Europe has suspended it from its vendor list. However, these actions don't fix the systemic vulnerabilities of the online ad market that enabled this spyware to spread.

Don't let this watershed moment in the music industry get lost in the karma Ed Sheeran & Pink are experiencing. The average celebrity may not agree on exactly what “Free Palestine” means, but now everyone agrees we can't cancel, censure, or blacklist someone simply for saying it.

Accusing the whole world of antisemitism because Palestinians deserve to live in freedom and dignity will never work again, and "I'm apolitical" just doesn't cut it anymore. guitarworld.com/artists/conc…

This Syrian old man hid his private library in his home in the city of Damascus since the end of 2011 before escaping to Kuwait out of fear of the Assad regime, where the mere presence of a banned book could lead you to Assad's gulag and death under torture. Today, the uncle returned to his library and completely removed the wall behind which he had hidden it, revealing valuable books that the Assad regime prohibited possessing and circulating.

The universe has served up more justice to Apartheid Israel than all international legal institutions combined. 5 out of 6 desalination plants in Israel have been shut down due to a sudden, massive algal bloom in the Mediterranean Sea. It was brought on by the large amounts of raw sewage being discharged into the Mediterranean from Gaza, the result of Apartheid Israel's military's destruction of sewage treatment plants and sewage pipes in the Strip during the war. haaretz.com/opinion/editoria…

NEW: Israel funded a fake US think tank called the "Hanover Institute" that published 124 reports totaling over 560,000 words in nine days, designed to be cited by AI chatbots like ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity. The site was built on a platform that promises to optimize content so AI systems will treat it as credible research. Every headline mirrors a question a user might type into a chatbot: Is Israel Carrying Out a Genocide in Gaza? The answers consistently frame information to blunt criticism of Israel. The operation was funded through Israel's government advertising agency via the European ad group Havas, with tens of millions of dollars routed to American contractors including a firm run by former Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale. An Israeli official admitted to Ynet: We paid a lot of money, but the situation only got worse. Source: The Guardian

Twenty months. Let's do the scoreboard 🤩 Assad fled to Moscow on 8 December 2024 and has not been heard from since, which is the most useful thing he has done for Syria in fifty years! Since then: The sanctions came off. All of them. The EU in May 2025, the US embargo in June, the Caesar Act repealed in December, and on Monday Syria came off the state sponsors of terrorism list after forty-seven years. Forty-seven. Syria was on that list longer than most of the people arguing about it have been alive. There was an election. October 2025, a 210-member parliament, the first since Assad. A provisional constitution. A roadmap. Boring, procedural, unglamorous, and exactly what nobody thought these people could do. The economy turned. Inflation from 72 percent down to 11. The pound appreciating since the day Assad left, which is its own commentary. The stock exchange reopened. $28 billion in investment pledged. In February the state took back its oil and gas fields and shipped heavy crude for the first time in 14 years. Three million people went home. 1.5 million refugees, 1.7 million internally displaced. Turns out people return when the man bombing them leaves. The coast went from the most dangerous place in Syria in early 2025 to the safest by the end of it. Kurdish became a national language. Citizenship restored to people the 1962 census erased. Newroz a national holiday. Kurdish in classrooms this academic year. And on Tuesday the SDF dissolved itself. One army. Saudi Arabia sent congratulations today. Now here is the part I enjoy. Since December 2024, Syria has taken more than a thousand Israeli air and artillery strikes and at least 825 ground incursions. Its response, every single time, has been diplomacy. A thousand strikes and the man will not take the bait. Netanyahu has been trying to start a war with Damascus for twenty months and Damascus keeps sending negotiators to Amman instead. Katz stood on Mount Hermon this week and told al-Sharaa to look up at the mountain every morning, and al-Sharaa's answer was to hold a ceremony, dissolve a militia, and get himself delisted by Washington on the same day. That is what actually irritates them. Not that Syria is dangerous. That Syria refuses to be. Twenty months. Nobody predicted this. Least of all the people who keep bombing it.

Once described as the most powerful non-state actor, the #SDF was militarily defeated in a lightening 36hr offensive in January. 7 months later, it's dissolved itself & integrated into #Syria's transitional state. A historic step forward & chance for game-changing unity & calm.

Everything @markruffalo says here is not even a milquetoast take, because it's not even a "take," it's something Oracle explicitly states on *checks notes* its dedicated pro-Israel page on the official Oracle website. oracle.com/il-en/corporate/b….
The accusation that I am antisemitic is appalling and fundamentally dishonest. Criticizing the actions of the Israeli prime minister, a military technology contract, or the executives who supply it is not the same as criticizing Jewish people. This critical and necessary dialogue is then dishonestly framed as being anti-Israel. To be clear, my views come from my own political convictions and should never be interpreted as hostility toward Jewish people, for whom I have deep love and respect.  Everything I know about acting, activism, and humanism has been profoundly shaped by the Jewish friends, colleagues, and loved ones who have been integral and family throughout every point of my life. This merger has real consequences for real people, and for the entire country. Scrutinizing the Ellisons, including Oracle’s business built on data, surveillance technology and government contracts, and the serious threat to editorial freedom and the loss of a livelihood for thousands of families, is fair and necessary. The $111 billion deal would hand one family control over CNN, HBO and Warner Bros., backed in part by foreign money whose influence on editorial decisions has never been fully explained to the public.  Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have called for serious national security review, and regulators still haven’t given the public a real answer. Until they do, the merger shouldn’t move forward. Now is the time to dive boldly into all these issues, not step back or concede.

I don't know when everyone in Hollywood became so profoundly protective of the war machine, but shoutout to @markruffalo and all the other celebrities who aren't afraid of the bs antisemitism accusations every time they have the audacity to say "genocide bad."
