Every other industrialized country has figured out the solution to this problem and the reason why we can’t is not the second amendment but because of people like you.
The solution is to keep people like you out of power. Then more lives will be saved.

This is horrifying to read, but do it anyway. This is the reality of Tennessee’s affirmative defense abortion ban.
This woman was forced to carry to term a pregnancy that nearly killed her, then was prosecuted for her behaviors during pregnancy — not b/c she was doing anything illegal, but b/c her behaviors weren’t healthy for the pregnancy they forced her to carry.

Hello, Twitter 👋 Barb Byrum, here. Yesterday, I posted some good news about youth turnout in Michigan, which sparked debate about our voting laws that I feel should be addressed. Especially since there were some civics and history classes missed by some of the commenters. 🧵

Uganda is about to vote to execute people who are LGBTQ+. An organization beloved by both political parties is the one pushing this monstrous bill in Uganda. When are Democrats going to stop aiding and abettting the National Prayer Breakfast that pushes this kind of awful hate?
NEW: Uganda's about to enact an LGBTQ+ death penalty.
I found that The Family, the group Biden greeted at the National Prayer Breakfast...
...is still tied to the Ugandan network pushing this bill.

The corporate takeover of American politics was rapid and ruthless.
In the 1970s, I watched as thousands of corporate lobbyists descended on Washington. Fast forward to today, and lobbying has become a $3.7 billion dollar industry.
It all began with the Powell Memo.
