My dad got me this photo when he visited the GWB Presidential Library in Dallas a couple years ago. Say what you will about Dubya’s later presidency, but he showed exemplary leadership in stepping up to heal a broken nation after 9/11. And that’s one reason I’ll always have a big soft spot for the guy, even if that’s considered “uncool” these days.
