Use Umanitek TrueSeal and Claude Code to spot fake AI posts on social media and see how many real people were tricked into liking, sharing, or replying to them. By turning every view, like, and comment into a time estimate, we can build an "Attention Drain" Dashboard that calculates exactly how many hours of real human life a fake post stole from the community. This public scoreboard calls out accounts that post fake content without labels, using community pressure to encourage honesty online. At the same time, we can reach out to the people who fell for the fake posts and offer simple, friendly digital safety tips so they know how to spot AI tricks next time.

That's why if you've got the power, you use it to raise the living standards of the people around you.
This is aluminium, they all will die before 2030.

not only for enterprise also your local goverment. It is all a matter of context and shared information space. If you build up the trust within your village/smalltown city you could could be governed by AI today
Databricks CEO Ali Ghodsi says if frontier models stopped advancing, it wouldn't matter for most orgs because enterprise AI is bottlenecked on context, not intelligence: "There's no agentic work that's automated the whole enterprise. That has just not happened. Why is that? The real reason is the models are smart enough, but they just don't have the context that exists inside of any organization." "They have not been in every meeting. They don't know what's in everybody's heads. They don't know all the processes. There's always a couple of employees who know everything in every organization. You go tap on their shoulder, and everybody's like, 'Oh my God, what would happen if he or she quits?'" "If you just fused that and gave that context into the AI models, just the frontier today, I think there's so much productivity gains you could get for any organization on the planet." "For that, we actually don't need smarter models... If the frontier doesn't advance, it doesn't actually matter for the vast majority of organizations on the planet. They're just so far behind in the adoption curve of actually automating things and getting value out of this stuff." @alighodsi Read the latest Profiles of the Future by @bhorowitz and @mikemcg0 on Databricks & the Future of the Firm: a16z.news/p/databricks-and-t…

Sam Altman argues local AI wastes scarce DRAM, but centralized data centers aren't the only way to maximize utilization. Decentralized compute fixes this by pooling idle consumer hardware globally maximizing efficiency while protecting data privacy and local wisdom. Permissionless networks > corporate mainframes.
sam: local inference is a terrible allocation of scarce resources “a lot of people want local inference, and somehow they assume that the problem is solved now because we have open-source models, we're going to be able to run them on our computers, and so we're not going to need all the stuff in the data centre but from a global allocation perspective, actually it's quite terrible to have everybody, like, have a bunch of the world's limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer and being used five percent of the time you want maximum utilisation in the cloud if you're trying to deal with this very supply-constrained environment somehow many people's intuition is the opposite of that”

A rail network is a multi-party system. Infrastructure managers, train operators, maintenance teams, and suppliers each hold part of the picture, and much of it changes in real time. Safety depends on that picture being connected, current, and verifiable at the moment a decision is made. Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) has been doing this in production since 2021, with @gs1 Switzerland and OriginTrail. Its EPCIS repository, built on the OriginTrail Decentralized Knowledge Graph (DKG), connects: → Train tracking across the EU, by querying a network of railway GS1 EPCIS repositories → Predictive maintenance of train wheels from IoT data → Welding and maintenance events across the SBB network, with input from more than 10 welding partners Teams query it in natural language and get verifiable AI answers. GS1's case study reports clear improvements in safety and sustainability. Read the case study 👉 gs1.org/insights-events/case…

I have just informed my colleagues that I will step down as @ECB President on 7 February 2027. It has been a source of great pride to serve this institution. I thank all of those who have supported me on this journey over the past seven years.

Today’s internet forces a terrible trade-off: hand over your email, phone, or ID to prove you’re not a bot and let data brokers track your entire life across the web. Polkadot’s Humanity fixes this: it gives you one permanent mask for each app you use, with zero way for anyone to connect your masks across different sites.
Web3’s final frontier: proving you’re a real person while keeping everything else private. Humanity is an open-source proof of concept for the @Polkadot ecosystem that takes it on, building on host code that already gives apps accounts and signing without exposing keys.

it’s interesting that we’re the last generation who will ever experience the internet before it’s fully and completely taken over by bots

‼️ About 300 Boston Dynamics employees asked the company to cancel a $1.3M ICE deal for modified Spot robot dogs. Executives refused. It says Spot won't be weaponised and denies they will aid detentions. ICE's own contract lists "immigration enforcement, detention" missions.

fan fiction these networks are running on polkadot
In Cyberpunk AI becomes so powerful the Internet has to be ran on local networks cause the rogue AI’s mutated into dangerous entities so humanity has to trap them within The Blackwall. Which is a AI barrier that protects our world from the old network. I guarantee you this will be the plot of the next game. Seems like that’s where we’re headed tbh in real life too

it always has been. humans naturally couple with tools, language, writing systems, and technology to extend their cognitive capacities. Ask yourself what motivated humans to extend to these parasites? Occult and cultural concepts like egregores or memes describe collective thought forms or replicating ideas that can gain autonomy and feed on attention or emotion

We live in the information age, the age of the sovereign individual, but the services available to us are not aligned with that. @gavofyork argues that Polkadot’s core technology is now ready to deliver the applications people will actually use in this new age.

I don't know why people keep pushing this idea. It's completely incommensurate w/ everything we know about human psychology. As soon as you raise the baseline, people will habituate to it and recalibrate their perceptions of inequality (and the entailed psychological suffering will shift accordingly). This is a phenomenon I've in the past called "fractal sensitization", and to the extent one fails to account for it, one will tend toward misanthropy when humans invariably fail to demonstrate the appreciation declared necessary by Central Planners.

4NE1 Gen 4 is already making its mark on the world stage. 🤖 Today, we unveiled the next generation of our humanoid robot on two major stages. First, at the opening of the TUM RoboGym powered by NEURA in Munich, built in collaboration with the Technical University of Munich and TUM MIRMI. The RoboGym is where companies teach robots real-world tasks, with partners from all kinds of industries already training there since September. This is also where 4NE1 Gen 4 builds its experience. At its core is Neuron AI, our foundation model for Physical AI, learning from real-world robot data collected across our NEURA Gyms, as well as from human demonstrations and simulation. And Munich was just one stop on the journey. Earlier today, 4NE1 Gen 4 was already in action at NVIDIA GTC in Berlin, where Jensen Huang left his signature on the robot. Tomorrow, the journey continues in Lugano. 🦾 Designed to work with people. Built to work in the real world. With a slimmer, lighter body engineered for series production and a soft black textile skin that gives it a more approachable appearance, 4NE1 Gen 4 brings together human-centered design and industrial ambition. It represents our next step toward humanoid robots that move beyond the showcase and into everyday working environments. At our NEURA Gyms the new robot is already learning and performing real-world tasks every day. Physical AI is real - and as of today, one step closer to reality.
