Madison County just certified there are no records explaining why a deputy was doing an officer-initiated “property check” by my 84-year-old mother’s house — right before he followed her out of the driveway and stopped her. The stop paperwork we do have basically says “warning.” This is not a one-off. If you cover NY police accountability or know a civil-rights lawyer who takes documented patterns, reply or DM.

So apparently in NY it’s acceptable for an 84-year-old woman to call 911 about people on ATVs stopped near her home, speaking loudly and threateningly, get no in-person response—and then later have someone associated with a neighboring property, who had prior private/off-duty issues involving her household, listed as a “responding officer.” That seems like a pretty serious conflict-of-interest question. How much documented conduct like this does someone have to accumulate before @ACLU or @FBI takes a serious look? This is also the same woman who has been stopped by police more than once with little or no paperwork documenting the encounters.
