Brb, going to remind my wife how easy she has it since I'm not a giant toddler.
*cracks knuckles*
A list of what my husband doesn't like & won't eat (either due to taste or texture preferences - he has no food allergies)
Seafood of all varieties
"Weird" meats or cuts of meat
Ham (bacon is fine, though)
Eggs cooked any way except scrambled
Onion (I can use onion powder or whole onion if it's cut VERY large so it can be easily identified and avoided while he's eating)
Tomato or any tomato-based products (except Ketchup)- so no tomato-based sauces
Any lettuce besides iceberg
Any green vegetable except raw cucumber
Cauliflower
Peppers
Carrots
Celery
Avocado
Mushrooms
Most fruits / berries. He'll eat mandarin oranges
No seeds / nuts
"Weird" breads (weird = anything not basic whitebread)
Only "basic" cheeses: cheddar, american, maybe a Monterrey or Colby if I sneak it in
Sour cream
Cream cheese
Pretty much any pasta except penne
Rice (except fried rice, but it can't have vegetables in it)
And I'm sure there are a bunch more things that I've forgotten because I've forgotten they exist.
Initiating anything to celebrate yourself is weird to me. Throw a party for your kids. Or if someone does something for you, be gracious. But celebrating yourself is inherently pathetic.
I once took (and passed) an online defensive driving course on my iPad entirely while driving between jobs.
Trying to mentally prepare myself for the fact that no matter what we do in advance we won't be ready to go on time because my wife will add things to the list.
Anyone want to do a LOTR themed walking challenge with me? It's 1,779 miles in 180 days which is approximately Frodo and Sam's journey from the Shire to Mt Doom.
Call me a prude but there are just some things I'm not ready for my 2yo daughter to see.
7yo broke a bottle of pumpkin spice syrup in my office earlier so I went to clean it up. But before I cleaned it up I thought Id start some coffee roasting. But before I started coffee I decided to change out the bulbs in two of my roasters. Then one of the bulbs broke as I was taking it out so I had to take the roaster apart to get it out. Finally I got everything back together. Then I quickly cleaned up the mess.
I guess Ill roast coffee later.
I mentioned this awhile back. This actually sounds really cool.
I cant imagine a world (even if I have the money) that I would spend $18K on a 16 day trip.
For $18k, a couple can take a 16-day cruise from Pittsburgh to Saint Louis on the American Melody.
Ports of call include: Pittsburgh, Marietta, Maysville, Cincinnati, Louisville, Henderson, Paducah, Cape Girardeau, and St. Louis.
I've never cared much about "cruises," but I've gotta say, this would be an absolutely fantastic trip.
