I have heard numerous people claim that DNA proof of Omar marrying her brother for the purposes of immigration fraud is a legal and PR slam dunk. I am not sure about the PR part. Americans have been trained to see immigration fraud via fake marriage see it as selfless and funny.
If someone I knew was falsely detained by a government agency, I would be more concerned about that agency detaining innocent people then the people giggling on the Internet, but these people only pussyfoot around accusing ICE of wrong doing.
