2 years and 8 months since LUNARK came out. Hard to believe. I spent 4+ years mostly solo on this project - rotoscoping, coding, composing the OST - and your support made the difference! Thank you for playing my little cinematic-platformer tribute 🥰

Dear @GovMurphy, My family and I have been proud residents of New Jersey for 30 years. Thanks to your leadership and the state’s initiatives to promote electric vehicles (EVs), we were able to purchase three @Tesla vehicles for our family. We often travel on the New Jersey Turnpike, relying on Tesla’s Superchargers for their fast, reliable, and accessible charging infrastructure—widely recognized as the best in the country for both Tesla and non-Tesla EVs, with an uptime of 99.9% and minimal wait times. We are deeply disappointed by the recent decision from the New Jersey Turnpike Authority (NJTA) to not renew Tesla’s contracts, resulting in the closure of 64 existing Supercharger stalls, and to deny Tesla the opportunity to co-locate their chargers alongside the chosen third-party provider (as outlined in Tesla Charging’s post: xitter.cf/teslacharging/status/1…). This decision to replace Tesla’s infrastructure with a third-party provider will likely frustrate EV drivers and cause problems, given Tesla’s unmatched reliability, lower costs (approximately 30% less per kWh), and superior user experience compared to other providers. While we appreciated the tax incentives that helped us purchase our EVs, we’ve been disheartened by subsequent policies that seem to penalize EV owners. The registration fees for electric vehicles have increased significantly—from $76 to $290 per year—adding financial strain. Now, this decision to remove Tesla Superchargers from the Turnpike and replace them with what is likely to be subpar third-party infrastructure feels like another step backward. It undermines the convenience and reliability we depend on and contradicts New Jersey’s goal of achieving 100% zero-emission new car sales by 2035. I respectfully request that you intervene to reverse the NJTA’s decision, allowing Tesla to co-locate their Superchargers along the Turnpike corridor and ensuring that no existing chargers are decommissioned. Tesla has already demonstrated its commitment to supporting all EV drivers by offering to include both NACS and CCS1 connectors at these locations, ensuring compatibility for all vehicles without the need for adapters. Their proposal to co-locate, rather than exclude, aligns with the need for more—not less—charging infrastructure to support EV adoption. Thank you for your attention to this matter. My family and I hope to see New Jersey continue to lead in EV adoption by supporting the best and most reliable charging infrastructure available. Sincerely The Stepanchenko Family 30-Year Residents of New Jersey and Tesla Owners
The New Jersey Turnpike Authority ("NJTA") has chosen a sole third-party charging provider to serve the New Jersey Turnpike and is not allowing us to co-locate. As a result, NJTA requested 64 existing Supercharger stalls on the New Jersey Turnpike to not be renewed and be decommissioned. We have been preparing for 3 years for this potential outcome by building 116 stalls off the New Jersey Turnpike, ensuring no interruption for our customers. The map below outlines the existing replacement Superchargers, and Trip Planner will adjust automatically. We offered the NJTA above-market commercial terms, including offering to build Superchargers at all New Jersey service plaza and with equipment upgrades, such as screens and NACS with CCS1 "magic docks". Tesla always advocates for more infrastructure and co-location with additional third-party charging providers. This drives down costs through optionality, and accelerates EV adoption by having sufficient capacity to shoulder peaks. We expect that ~30 times more fast-charging capacity is needed to get to full EV adoption. NJTA's decision to remove, rather than add, critical charging infrastructure is a setback for New Jersey's EV adoption goals of 100% Zero-Emission New Car Sales by 2035. It removes Turnpike access to the most reliable (99.9% uptime), least congested (<1% waiters) and cost-effective (~30% lower $/kWh) charging. We are still willing to invest in New Jersey Turnpike sites if @NJTurnpike or @GovMurphy want to reverse this decision. Otherwise, we will continue to build out the best possible infrastructure off the Turnpike to serve @DelValTesla and the EV drivers of New Jersey.

Grok cleared it up. Applegreen operates all the service areas on the NJ Turnpike. Applegreen owns Applegreen Electric US NJ Turnpike Authority awarded $25.7m to Applegreen to install 240 EV chargers, making it the sole provider. This led to canceling Tesla’s Supercharger contract by May 31, 2025, to unify charging services under Applegreen. FYI: Blackstone is invested in Applegreen

FSD 13.2.8 failed to stop at a train crossing with the arm down and lights blinking! Does anyone know why it doesn't see or stop at these? This could be disastrous because a train was actually coming, but that's why it's still supervised. Stay alert‼️ @teslasi

Taking a cue from @MarkRober's Tesla wall crash, I couldn’t resist diving into the action myself. I set up an experiment to recreate the crash and test if I’d get the same outcome. Check out the video to see how it all unfolds! I’m excited to hear your thoughts in the comments—drop your reactions and maybe even spark an idea for my next big video! youtu.be/9KyIWpAevNs?si=zHCN…

Tesla will see a demand surge in 4Q in the U.S. likely lasting until Trump's inauguration around January 20 caused by buyers' fear of a potential tax credit loss since: 1. Some existing Tesla customers will think about replacing their vehicle a little earlier to take advantage of the credit before it goes away. 2. Some prospective Tesla customers will think about accelerating their vehicle purchase to take advantage of the credit before it goes away. This demand pullforward effect likely drives: 1. 4Q 2024 all-time high global vehicle sales. 2. 1Q 2025 may turn net neutral: first half of 1Q seeing heightened US demand with second half of 1Q seeing dropping off of US demand. At this later point, Tesla is likely to sweeten deliveries with incentives (just as they did in January 2024 in Germany after the government's sudden removal of subsidies in Dec 2023). Important to keep in mind: tax credit only affects US demand and no other countries. Hence, TC affects only about 1/3 of global sales. Looking further ahead to 2Q 2025: 1. Excitment about Tesla's announced new more affordable models takes over. 2. Excitment about Tesla's potential limited ride-hailing network launch in California/Texas (as announced on Tesla's 3Q earnings call) starts to kick in. 3. 1Q 2025 launch of Shanghai energy storage production supercharges Tesla's global energy storage deployments driving shorter shipping times and thus faster P&L recognition of deployments and resulting in enhanced cash flow profile of the energy storage business. Big picture: 1. I view the current negativity around the tax credit as an excessive overreaction since Tesla is a globally diversified business with various lines of substantial gross profit generation entirely independent from the U.S. tax credit! 2. Tesla is clearly entering into a new growth phase in 2025, just as management predicted. 3. With a 4Q'24 record quarter deliveries and potentially record storage deployments numbers just 6 weeks away (January 2, 2025 announcement) I find it rather silly to trim/exit at the $300 mark. 4. This is not the time for bean counting, just like 2020 wasn't the time for bean counting. My account is small. Few people will see this post. Please don't forget to like/share to get the message out amongst the noise. Thanks.
