Part of my morning commute on the @MTA @NYCTSubway F line. No one on the train said or did anything to stop it, except one elderly lady towards the end. This harassment went on for about 15 minutes.
Not a single @NYPDTransit officer in sight.

This Sunday, Nov. 8, organizers are planning a protest bike ride past Jewish-owned restaurants in my district. It falls on the eve of the anniversary of Kristallnacht - when mobs marked Jewish-owned businesses for boycott.
People have every right to criticize the Israeli government and to protest U.S. foreign policy. But those decisions are made in Washington, not in the kitchens of Center City restaurants. Take those demands to the officials with the power to act.
Holding your Jewish neighbors responsible for a foreign government's actions is antisemitism. No one should have to pass a political test to run a restaurant, earn a living, or feel welcome in the neighborhood we share.
Whatever our disagreements, we should be able to say that clearly - and stand with the neighbors being targeted.

For all those who insist that opposition to Israel is completely separate and distinct from antisemitism, consider:
The vandalism of yeshiva school buses in Williamsburg — which is rightly being widely condemned as antisemitic — does not mention the word “Jew” or “Jewish.” (It says “Free Palestine,” “F*** Israel,” and “America First.”)
Jewish children in Brooklyn are not making military decisions for Israel, yet they are still being attacked because of them.
That is why Jews feel unsafe in this country.

As a mother and grandmother, it sickens me to think of children arriving at school to find their buses defaced with swastikas and hateful antisemitic messages.
No Jewish child or family should have to endure this kind of fear and intimidation.
Those responsible must be identified, arrested, and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
