I'm currently at the salon and what I just heard disgusted me.
This girl getting her hair braided just told her friend on the phone that she’s meeting a guy who booked her for the night and since she’s on her period, she’s just going to insert cotton wool to block the flow.
Cotton wool is not sterile, it sheds fibers inside, and is a massive risk for Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS) and severe infections. We need better reproductive health awareness!
How am I only just finding out people actually do this? The lack of health education is scary.

My aunty sold her land and raised ₦10 million for her son to start a business.
She wanted to settle him because he had been unemployed for years.
Instead of starting the business, he took the money and relocated to Saudi Arabia without informing his mother.
Three months later, he was deported back to Nigeria.
He is now 45 years old and wants my aunty to sell her only house so he can start a proper business.
My aunty agreed.
She sold the house, built herself a small room and parlour, opened a business for herself and shared the remaining money among her daughters.
Her son is now telling everyone that she is a bad mother…
You know when a woman keeps telling you she's not interested, but you refuse to stop pursuing her?
You may never understand how uncomfortable that feels until another man(geh) does the exact same thing to you. Then you'll understand the magnitude of what you've been putting her through.

Do not forget the people that helped you and also do not forget the people that tried to pull you down.
This will help you treat people according to how they treated you.
This is what we ought to do to all the aboki in Nigeria.
It's almost as if it's part of their culture to not brush or bathe, smelling like he-goats.
Even el nino got nothing on them 😔

Person go invite you come house for sleepover only for the bedsheet and room to be giving a fishy smell until he uses a perfume to dilute everything.
And you expect him to call you again, you think he dumped you not knowing his protecting his health.

I’m dating a rich guy, but he’s extremely stingy. Whenever I ask him for money, even when I genuinely need it for something important, he always has one excuse or another.
one day, I took his ATM card, travelled from Warri to Abraka, found a random POS operator, and withdrew N900k from his account.
I broke the ATM card, returned home, and acted like nothing happened.
meanwhile, I watched him accuse and eventually have his own brothers arrested over the missing money.
be honest, was I wrong, or was his stinginess part of what pushed me to this?
it’s Maryann here. don’t hold back; I’ll be reading your comments. 😂

This yahoo boy in my compound gifted our landlord a big generator and a smart TV.
He had worked as a salesboy in our street for years before suddenly joining yahoo and making huge money.
Our landlord was so happy with the gifts that he started treating him like his own son.
A few weeks later, the boy asked to use the landlord's house for a meeting with some foreign business partners. The landlord agreed.
Two days later, some police officers came looking for the boy. They told our landlord that the boy had used his address for fraudulent transactions.
They also revealed that the boy had mentioned our landlord's name during their investigation.
Our landlord realised that the gifts were a way to gain his trust and use him.
He spent ₦400k trying to clear his name.
Since then, he has refused to accept expensive gifts from anyone.

Temi travelled for two weeks and left her car parked at home. Before she returned, her younger brother called to tell her that he had sold the car. She thought he was joking until he sent her the buyer’s number.
When she confronted him, he said he needed the money to settle his wedding expenses and knew she would eventually understand because they were family.
The shocking part? He sold the car for ₦6 million, but only gave her ₦2 million. When she demanded the balance, he said he had already spent it and reminded her that she was his elder sister.
Temi reported the matter to the police. Now their mother is begging her to withdraw the complaint because she doesn't want her son arrested before his wedding.

My colleague has a habit of picking her nose. Anytime you see her, she’s either picking her nose or doing something with her fingers. Everyone in the office has noticed.
We have a tradition in my office called Chow Friday. Every Friday, one person volunteers to buy pizza, small chops or whatever they like for everyone in the department.
Last Friday was the turn of this particular colleague who always picks her nose. She bought pizza, and the moment it was delivered, she opened the box and started touching the slices. She even said she was looking for the biggest one.
After picking her preferred slice, she dropped the box on the table and said, “You guys can come and take your own o.”
Nobody moved.
For over 30 minutes, nobody touched the pizza. She eventually started asking what was going on and why nobody wanted to eat.
Everyone kept saying they had already eaten.
One of my colleagues finally decided to speak up. She told her that the reason she wasn’t eating was that she had just watched her put the same fingers she uses to pick her nose inside the pizza box.
The next thing I heard was everyone agreeing. “Even me, I can’t eat it.”
Instead of apologising, this girl started shouting, “Noooo! What do you mean I pick my nose? I don’t!” 😂
I couldn’t believe she genuinely didn’t know she had that habit. It’s almost like she’s not conscious of it.
One of my colleagues then told her that we were only correcting her and she should take it in good faith.
This girl simply carried the pizza box to her seat and finished everything. 😭
She then said, “I’ll suffer and use my money to buy things, and you people will be deciding for me.”
To make matters worse, another colleague bought drinks later and deliberately didn’t include her. She was so angry that, immediately it was 5 p.m., she carried her bag and left.
It’s been a week now, and she no longer smiles or gists with us the way she used to.
The truth is always bitter. 😂

Yesterday was POP for NYSC folks, and as usual, I was busy reposting everyone I knew. It got to this girl’s turn, and I sent my congratulations.
She replied, “Thank you. That reminds me, I’ve kept all my NYSC stuff for you. You don’t need to buy anything when it gets to your turn.”
I said thank you, then had to discuss it with a friend. She told me it’s a bad omen because apparently, everybody uses new things for camp and it will lead to see finish.
Is it really a bad omen to use someone else’s NYSC belongings, or is this another one of those girls talk.
