My son organised a proxy vote which I was going to do for him. He had an email confirming this but when I went to the polling station they didn’t know anything about it. Luckily my parents picked him up from college and brought him back, a 300 mile round trip, so he could vote.

I too got my postal vote after the date that it should be sent back, making it void on receipt. Luckily I walked to the polling station and voted in person but how many others were affected.We need a proper inquiry into what really happened to PVs

My husband has been notified today that his postal vote in GE was rejected because the signature didn’t match(his signature has remained the same for years).Why wasn’t he notified in time to have voted in person? How many were rejected?My Conspiracy theory antenna is twitching.

Hmmm, so I’ve just found out @TowerHamletsNow rejected my general election postal vote because the returning office judged my two signatures did not match. I’ve only been practising it for the last 25 years. It’s not even that long!

We live in a country where scrutiny of the electoral procedure makes people think you need a tin-foil hat. With the evidence we have, particularly from @PostalVoteProbe, there should be a full-scale inquest. A refusal of this is authoritarian in nature.
