The answer isn’t getting the right person into power. The answer is limiting power so that the person doesn’t matter.

Socialism is not even good in theory, so don't bother trying to figure out how to make it work in practice.

France has FREE health care, paid parental leave, paid family leave, FREE child care, FREE preschool, 5 weeks paid vacation, a 35 hour work week, generous unemployment and housing benefits, and heavily subsidized higher education. Everything the left says they want AND THEY'RE STILL PROTESTING AND BURNING SHIT DOWN.

In an alternate timeline, Trump takes a liking to Thomas Massie, lobbies for him to replace Mike Johnson, the Epstein criminals are in jail, Bibi is fending for himself, DOGE is codified, the Department of Education doesn’t exist, farmers are happy, and the GOP wins in 2026

People claiming Elon Musk “failed” with DOGE are speaking from pure ignorance. Musk put forward 192 specific cuts totaling nearly $1 trillion. That’s a fact. What did he get in return for trying to save American taxpayers hundreds of billions? • 181 lawsuits filed by Democrats • 164 of those cases still active • A hit to Tesla’s stock price • A nonstop barrage of media distortions and cover-ups He absorbed all of it in an effort to protect the hard-earned money of ordinary citizens. Think about that for a second: Democrats used our tax dollars to file lawsuits designed to stop us from saving our tax dollars. Musk showed he actually cares about the country’s fiscal health. Too many politicians only care about maintaining control. He fought harder than most elected officials ever have to deliver real savings. A little gratitude wouldn’t hurt. 🇺🇸 ❤️🇺🇸

Whether it’s called a dictatorship, a monarchy, or a republic, Whether the executive is a mayor, a governor, or a president, Regardless of what the written law says, GOVERNMENT is always just whatever those who are governed will let those who are in office get away with.

Top ways MAGA dropped the ball since 2024: -DOGE was popular -Ending the wars was popular -COVID accountability was popular -Epstein accountability was popular -Ending the Department of Education was popular -Ending the IRS was popular -Decreasing the debt was popular

Why can’t communists be communist the way the Amish are Amish, as in, peacefully, voluntarily, among themselves, without taking anyone else’s property or forcing anyone else to participate? If communism is really about cooperation and community, why does everyone else have to be forced into it?

Every communist revolutions is a union of dispossessed "lower elites" with criminals and outsiders ("lumpenproletariat"). The trust-funders and phd's living in Mom's basement hope the revolution will put them on top. When, in reality, it will put them against the wall. And the lumpenproletariat are the cheap votes -- sometimes cheap muscle. Thus every crime, every riot, is one step closer to revolution. Shame about the collateral damage.
Beware the danger of "lower elites." The French Revolution - led by lower elites. The Bolshevik Revolution - led by lower elites. The rise of DSA - led by lower elites. Highly educated, middling, low-performing "lesser nobles" believe they should be entitled to more - more wealth, more influence, and more prestige. Bitter intellectuals turn to authoritarian movements because it makes them important again. This is one of the destructive byproducts of saying everyone should go to college. Yes these movement mobilize the lower class (and Third Worlders) to give them necessary numbers, but lower elites are the ring leaders, and they will burn down a nation out of pure spite and bitterness.

The US entered the Vietnam war based on a lie. 62 years ago today, the USS Maddox exchanged fire w/ North Vietnamese torpedo boats in the Gulf of Tonkin. Two days later, the ships returned and fired again on the Maddox, leading the US to declare war. Problem: it didn't happen. That second "attack" was the basis for Lyndon Johnson to escalate war fever. Within 30 minutes of the event he began demanding retaliatory attacks against North Vietnam. Soon after, Congress passed the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution, giving Johnson power to deploy ground troops. But there was no second attack on the Maddox. There weren’t even any Vietnamese ships in the area when the alleged attack happened. That didn't stop Johnson and his buddies from pushing for military engagement. ("Never let a good crisis go to waste"…) The Vietnam War raged on for almost twenty years and cost the lives of more than 58,000 US troops. Additionally, over a million North Vietnamese soldiers were killed, 200,000 South Vietnamese soldiers, and more than two million civilians in the North and South. Since the Vietnam War, the United States govt has employed similarly dishonest methods to garner public support for war.

Not one single person of average intelligence or above, is arguing in good faith that men can become women, should be allowed in women’s sports, be imprisoned with women, or be allowed in woman’s shelters. If you’re smart and hold those positions, truth is not your top priority.

A new poll finds 40% of respondents believe in a baseless conspiracy theory that the coronavirus was created in a lab in China. There is zero evidence for this. Scientists say the virus was transmitted to humans from another species. trib.al/m0pJe4b
