This is my experience. USSF Legal gave me & others an initial story of "we'll see if SafeSport wants to take it" and then quickly pivoted to "Gee, SafeSport has it, so we aren't legally allowed to do anything." They know *exactly* how this stuff works. We didn't, & got played.
