Rep. Raychel Proudie doesn’t mince words: Missouri’s capital gains tax break props up the rich while working families struggle to make ends meet and can't afford regular doctor visits. She's speaking TRUTH!

THIS JUST IN! 🎥 Yesterday, our long-time colleague, Prof. Hasan Jeffries (@ProfJeffries) of Ohio State University, spoke at a rally of over 1,000 students to denounce SB1. In an era of deep censorship and repression, we SNCC veterans are re-energized by the many students and educators standing up for justice. SB1 is a dangerous bill that seeks to dismantle Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs in higher education, silencing voices and erasing fact-based history. But OSU students and faculty aren’t backing down. We are extremely proud of those continuing the legacy of resistance. From the frontlines of the Civil Rights Movement to today’s fight for equity in education, the struggle continues.

We know now that what they're coming after is not one form of thinking. It's not Black history, it's not intersectionality, it's not critical race theory. They're coming after the entire infrastructure that has been created from the civil rights movement.
Kimberlé Crenshaw emphasizes why the current attacks on diversity, equity & inclusion aren’t new, “Just like the fire seemed like the devastation came from nowhere, & they might think that what we're looking at right now came from nowhere. The conditions have been set for years.”

Friends, please amplify and pay attention to the police raid and violence happening right now at CCNY alongside Columbia. Shame on @ChancellorCUNY for sanctioning the NYPD to hurt our @cuny students.
Dispatch from CCNY: SRG is sweeping the encampment as spring break comes to an end. Multiple arrests; a professor was dragged out.

Shoutout to these CUNY students. City College undergrads are largely a working class, often first gen (45%), commuter population.
🚨BREAKING: City College of New York students and faculty have erected CUNY’s first Gaza Solidarity Encampment.

Today marks three years since Derek Chauvin murdered George Floyd. Three years since the largest series of antiracist demonstrations in history, followed by one of the most concerted racist movements to demonize and ban antiracist work in history. 📸 AFP
