The Coalition policy to dump clean vehicles isn’t about protecting Australian families from a “tax”. It’s about protecting lazy greedy carmakers which have been slow to move on efficient or electric vehicles from fines for disregarding the health and well-being of Australians.
Great to hear Peter Greste and Richard Roxburgh in threats to independent journalism and changes in world media landscape.
At launch screening of The Correspondent, the Peter Greste story, with Q&A, at Luna Leederville. Fabulous, gritty movie about tough work of journalism in danger. Journalists are under threat throughout the world.

Universities are places of excellence, knowledge, expertise. Why are executives paying $735M for consultants? Consultants with nepotistic links doing fuck all. Do universities seriously not have the expertise within their ranks to do the necessary work?! drive.google.com/file/d/1otD…
And yet people wonder why we (sometimes?) get such carpetbaggers for senior uni positions, with such twisted priorities! Unis are seen primarily as money-making entities, and only secondarily as places of learning and research. theguardian.com/australia-ne…

Day 7
About 400kW of solar panels and a climate controlled shed full of battery storage, and yet not a single #EV charger (except for basic power points) at #BarklyHomestead #NorthernTerritory.
At 447km between #Threeways and #Camooweal, this represents the most pressing site for a @TeslaCharging destination charger and a long promised @NRMA off-grid #FastDC charger.

Annual enrolments in languages by domestic students at Australian universities have declined by 40% since 2013.
