[ 📰 tap to unfold]: i asked Christian Parker about his expectations for the #Cowboys defense now that a wave of key talent is returning from injury midseason. 🤔… his answer was telling of a coordinator whose original plan can finally be put into place, broken by so many missing pieces: “There’s plenty of things that we were really good at, and looking forward to doing from a training camp, in an early season perspective, that we haven't really been able to onboard the way we wanted to. “Because of some of those pieces [were missing due to injury], and that’s where you just got to find — is there a different player who can satisfy that role? “You shift in terms of your philosophy, and you’re scheming around players and how you do things, and around who you want to put at the point of attack, and who you want to kind of keep out of that from game to game. “So, certainly, getting more players back is always going to be a good thing.” DeMarvion Overshown, Marist Liufau, Cobie Durant and PJ Locke are all back at practice with a chance to return as early as MNF vs. Eagles (Overshown already told me he will play), and Jalen Thompson is nearing. so … is it time to see what a real Christian Parker defense looks like in Dallas, and with 3/4ths of the regular season left to play? 🤔
