"Matt reeves is stopping Batman from being in the DCU and keeping the character isolated to an excellent standalone franchise"

I’d sacrifice the whole DCU and MCU if it meant a The Batman Part 3

Can't read a tweet. I said "a lot of that stuff sounded cool when you're thirteen". It's silly. Continued narratives are silly. But that's OK. You learn to laugh a little.

The way you wrote that original tweet lacked the context of the topic being discussed, that is all.

Which is one of Geoff Johns' biggest problems with how he revamps villains-- he makes them too Villain Sue a lot of times.

What I always wonder is why the hell it needs a nuclear reactor. Wouldn’t that be counterproductive to it being cold

i think it's what really makes it work, because eobard is put through a humiliation ritual of having to make his greatest enemy and by the end he just wants go home

the concept of screenshotting someone's followers on rotten tomatoes
Like either you do the story where Eobard creates a paradox and you end it with "he's gone, he's done, he's never coming back" or you make the death a home invasion and not time travel or something.

I don't necessarily take issue with trying to give Barry SOMETHING in terms of a greater story engine. But it feels so cliche by this point.

also the idea that The Flash should somehow be a hero who should never ever time travel because time travel is bad is literally spitting on the history of every single era of Flash that came before it aside from the brief Baron->WML time. Like Barry's WIFE is from the future!

Really needed to be a storyline that ended with getting his mom back to be honest. "The villain can fuck with time and torture the past forever consequence free but the hero will destroy all reality if he does one good deed" is a weird choice to land on.

Also the simplicity of Barry becoming a superhero because of his administration of Jay (fictional or not) ties better to his relationship with Thawne who became a supervillain because of his administration of Barry. The tragic backstory makes both Barry and Thawne duller
