Another Cosmos-EVM exploit. This time @MANTRA_Chain for ~720m $OM, but $0 in value. Traced it on-chain, it's not a mint bug, total supply is unchanged. An attacker drained 720,923,967.99 OM from two accounts they had no keys for: 600,000,035.55 OM from the null/burn address. 120,923,932.44 OM from a genesis-era 3-of-5 multisig. The flaw is in the Cosmos-EVM stack (cosmos/evm v0.6.0 + x/auth/vesting + the staking precompile), not MANTRA's app logic, a contract with a victim address baked in ends up able to debit that victim via the bank layer. Attacker: mantra13n9sk3p8x7tpq9adgxvzv9q0qev953mld0hwva, 24 txs, all in this incident. explorer.mantrachain.io/MANT… None of it left the chain. The halt froze all of it.
We're aware of an incident affecting MANTRA Chain and have halted the chain as a precaution while we investigate. All endpoints and transactions are currently frozen. This means deposits and withdrawals to/from MANTRA Chain are temporarily affected. If you're unsure how this impacts a specific transaction, please hold off until we share more. We don't have a root cause or timeline to share yet - we'll post here and on our official channels as soon as we have verified information. Please rely only on official MANTRA channels for updates. We have identified the root cause of the incident and contained the immediate threat. The incident was isolated to the Cosmos EVM module of MANTRA Chain and affected two wallet addresses before we achieved containment. No user funds were exploited. The chain halt and upcoming patch are precautionary measures intended to mitigate any further risk to users and chain assets. The damage remains contained and limited. We are carefully testing remediations, with chain resumption potentially targeted within the day, subject to successful testing. We will continue to keep the community updated as this work progresses, with a full post mortem to follow. Follow status updates here: status.mantrachain.io/

Søren Kierkegaard on the Importance of Walking “Above all, do not lose your desire to walk. Everyday, I walk myself into a state of well-being & walk away from every illness. I have walked myself into my best thoughts, and I know of no thought so burdensome that one cannot walk away from it. But by sitting still, & the more one sits still, the closer one comes to feeling ill. Thus if one just keeps on walking, everything will be all right.”

Society acts like your 20s are the main movie and everything after is just the end credits. In reality, your 20s are just a chaotic 10-year tutorial on how to be a person. The actual game starts whenever you decide.

"claude fable just proved the jacobian conjecture is false" "incredible this changes everything" "do you know what the jacobian conjecture is?" "no, do you?" "no"
hello there the jacobian conjecture is false thanx to my close friend akhil for asking about it and my other close friend fable for working during the world cup final ((1+xy)^3 z + y^2 (1+xy) (4+3xy), y + 3 x (1+xy)^2 z + 3 x y^2 (4+3xy), 2 x - 3 x^2 y - x^3 z): \C^3\to \C^3, has jacobian determinant -2, and sends (0, 0, -1/4), (1, -3/2, 13/2), and (-1, 3/2, 13/2) to (-1/4, 0, 0)

📢 Meet DGML - the domain-native document format, built by @docugami & @InveniamIO. DGML (Document Graph Markup Language) is a semantic XML representation of business documents. Where raw source files give you layout and pixels, DGML gives you meaning: tags that describe what each element is in the document's domain - a contract clause, an invoice line item, a policy definition, not how it appeared on the page. The headline feature is cross-document tag consistency: documents of the same kind share the same semantic vocabulary - what separates DGML from a raw extraction or structural transcription, and what makes it suitable for reasoning over a corpus rather than a single file. The second property is complete semantic preservation. Traditional extraction pipelines choose fields upfront and discard the rest - a decision that fails the moment a new use case emerges and needs a field no one thought to extract. DGML preserves the full semantic structure instead - every element, relationship, and typed value - so a document processed once stays fully queryable without returning to the source. The third is document order with graph semantics. Most graph formats treat documents as unordered collections of facts, but in business documents order is meaning: definitions precede usage, clause sequence governs interpretation, provenance depends on position. DGML preserves document order as a first-class property while also representing relationships across elements and documents as a graph. The fourth is attestation: Proof of Origin at the data-element level. Every DGMLX package is tamper-evident - any alteration to its content breaks its cryptographic hash. The deeper innovation is that this hashing isn't limited to the whole document: because the semantic tree is structured, any XML element subtree - a single data point, a payment term, a liability cap - can be hashed and anchored on an external chain independently, proving its origin without producing the entire document. 🔗 Source: github.com/dgml-io 🔗 More information: dgml.io

⚽️🏈 Why Do Americans Call It Soccer? Blame England. Americans get a lot of grief for calling it soccer. It is, the argument goes, a typically obtuse piece of American exceptionalism, a nation so convinced of its own importance that it renamed the world’s most popular sport just to be difficult. The rest of the world calls it football. The Americans call it something that sounds like a position in a law firm. How very them. Except it isn’t them. Not originally, anyway. The word soccer comes from Association Football, the formal name given to the game when the Football Association was founded in England in 1863. A few decades later, schoolboys at Rugby School and then Oxford, with that particular genius the English have for mangling perfectly good words, took “Assoc,” short for Association, and bolted on the suffix “-er,” a standard piece of Victorian public school slang used to make anything sound more cheerful. Rugby football became “rugger.” Association football became “soccer.” The English invented the word. They used it cheerfully for decades. It appeared in British newspapers and formal writing well into the twentieth century without anyone apparently clutching their pearls about it. There is a lovely wrinkle here, too. “Soccer” was largely the word of the upper class, while the working and middle classes preferred “football.” So when the upper class began losing its grip on British society from the 1960s onward, “soccer” went down with it, quietly dropped the way you abandon a phrase once it becomes unfashionable, and then pretend you never said it at all. By the time America was building its own professional leagues, “soccer” had become entirely natural there, partly to distinguish the sport from American football, which had arrived earlier and planted its flag on the word “football” with the confidence of someone who got there first and has no intention of moving. So the next time someone sneers that Americans can’t even name the sport correctly, you can point out that Americans are faithfully preserving a word the English coined, used for generations, then quietly abandoned and somehow turned into evidence of foreign stupidity. Which, when you think about it, is a very English thing to do. Stay connected, Follow @Gandalv
