Why doesn't IRCTC allow customers to withdraw their unused eWallet balance whenever they need it?
This policy is unfair. Please introduce a simple, direct withdrawal facility.

Nine-Year Tradition Grows Into A Major Event
The Kalyanpur Deepotsav has developed through years of community participation. The tradition began in 2019, when members of the Kalyanpur Youth Club lit 51,000 lamps. The number increased over the years, reaching around nine lakh in 2025.
This year, the organisers set a target of lighting more than 11 lakh diyas. Members of the Youth Club and local residents worked in teams to arrange the lamps, fill them with oil and prepare the wicks.
Organisers said the event represents collective participation by villagers and aims to give Kalyanpur greater recognition as a religious and cultural tourism destination.

Nitish cha ka lagega ek din. Itna to kar diya hai, ab bas Bihar mein radical change ki jaroorat hai. Agar 5-7 saal pehle se PK active ho jaate, to aur hawa badalti.
Bjp ne jaanboojh ke ek worst possible CM bana diya hai, kyunki Nitish ke baad wo koi resistance nahi chahta hai.

"This pattern of argument is common among Hindutva ideologues. The ideology is not known for rigorous logicians. It is unfortunate that a civilization that produced Buddhist logicians such as Dharmakirti and Dignaga as well as the Nyaya school, now sees illogical voices in public discourse with invented mythology, postmodern rhetoric and conspiracy theories."

These type of takes are extremely unnecessary and vitriolic, I have traveled frequently in those states which are labelled Red here. I have never encountered any difficulties even in visiting remote historical sites and people are generally cheerful when you are visiting their city.
I'm a firm believer of the fact that Indian folks are nice and hospitable most of the time even after being so poor(major portion of the population), and things will keep improving.
For example, In Khajuraho(Madhya Pradesh), you can find Indian and foreign couples taking bicycle rides into nearby villages nonchalantly. Folks need to step out of their imagination and start visiting places rather than hallucinating with their inflated elitism.
Rudolf von Leyden observed that Bhabha was deeply conscious of the beauty of Delhi and whenever he could spare the time, he would relax at Hauz Khas, in sight of the Lodi tombs or in front of the magnificent façade of Sher Shah’s Mosque at the Purana Quila.
Once we stood together on those ramparts […] and I remember how he spoke, in great anger, of the rape of this beautiful city by sterile PWD architects, by the tastelessness of bureaucrats and politicians, by the avarice of land speculators and by the complete lack of culture here, in this city, where a half-ruined chhattri at the end of a broken down wall has more significance than all the post-1947 Bhavans put together.
"Bhabha believed that buildings, too, were an expression of creativity. While travelling in Europe, he had carefully observed the buildings there, noting not only their structure and form but also their functional value and their relationship and balance with the surrounding landscape. When he was building his own institutions, he insisted on perfectly planned buildings that also had aesthetic appeal. He believed that the practice of science required a congenial atmosphere in every way—its practitioners needed more than just appropriate equipment to thrive and be creative."

400 crore spent on Patliputra Bus Stand, Bairiya, yet nothing works. And we claim to compete with other states? Absolutely pathetic!

The Cyclopean wall of Rajgir.
Historians put the construction of the gate around 2500 – 2600 years ago. The construction of the wall was initially started by King Bimbisara and later completed by his son King Ajatshatru.
Not a single Chief Minister in Bihar's history has left behind a legacy of work significant enough to deserve a statue in his honour.

My maternal uncle, a proud Marathi, built his manufacturing setup near NH 48 in Pune from scratch over the last 10 years!
He began by hiring only Marathi-speaking folks from Maharashtra, but today 75% of his workers are from other states. He says the local workers didn’t show the work ethic he needed on the factory floor, even after he gave them plenty of chances.
The Marathi folks in his company are mostly in accounting, audit, customer relations and video editing. So his struggle is mainly with the actual manufacturing roles.
Honestly, felt sad hearing it from him😭

A democracy with Chinese characteristics would come at a heavy cost for many.
#justsaying
Even The Economist is saying China is *substantially more democratic* than India. Was never convinced by the line that India's not growing like China because India is a "democracy" --truth has always been that India's growth is hampered by a growing democratic deficit that determines policy choices - unlike China.
