This is the standard meme being deployed all over India. Chhath Puja is not Hindu, Onam is not Hindu, Tamils are not Hindu, “tribals” are not Hindu etc. Why? Because to convert you must first cut the roots. Who defined Hindu=Mantra+”Priest”? Where does that come from.

As a Gujju I'm thinking of starting a business of making pro Palestine merchandise and then donating all profits to ISKCON and Bajrang Dal. 🅱️ullas keep using Hindu names to sell to Hindus then why shouldn't we do the same?

I know Sunita is nervous about that little stunt they pulled, that is backfiring now. They’re even hiding the signatories now. But we have receipts. The “pledge” specifically linked to the radical left wing handle @thecaravanindia, that lists over a 100 Hindu American organizations as “RSS linked.” Not just “a few families.” That @AbdulElSayed @RoKhanna @RepJayapal @HamawyForNJ signed the pledge remains a scandal for Hindu American campaign donors.
This is a pure lie. The pledge promises to not take money from the RSS and the movement that killed Gandhi. It involves a few dozen families in America who can be shown using public records to be connected to the RSS through occupying leadership positions or financial ties. #HindusAgainstHindutva #SayNoToHate

Fearmongering about Hindus being “RSS” for just identifying as Hindus definitely works in cities in USA (as in NYC) and that it does and who it consolidates is exactly the point Ramaswamy is saying.
Fearmongering about Muslims as a brown Indian Hindu might work in Uttar Pradesh but in Republican Ohio it makes you look like a cowardly opportunist lacking any sense of self-awareness.

China's car market is collapsing, which is why the country is desperately exporting cars to Europe. But there are multiple dangers with importing vehicles from China One: they are going to be used for spying and they could even be bricked from Beijing. Two: these imports destroy local manufacturing, undermining national security. Three: If China's economy crashes these countries will have to do without new cars for a long time. cnbc.com/2026/10/28/china-ca…

Chinese growth and eventual fall will be because of communism. They do mostly right things but go too far because they lack democratic checks. One child policy, subsidizing manufacturing etc. They seethe at India, you are 40 years too late and how are you still in the running?
99.99% of China's seethe against India, which just minds it's business is just this: "We took huge debts to build unproductive infrastructure and bloated cities that will never pay themselves back, we forced people to think how we want to, with State Atheism, One Child policy, etc. We also instated a dictatorship that crushes down on people and their freedoms, crushes their personality, and makes them a property of the state. We antagonized literally all countries, by decimating their manufacturing with our manufacturing that wasn't even profitable, but we took debts to subsidize it. AI and Automation is now moving them back to their own countries and everyone is now waiting for our fall like wolves, to tear us apart. But it's not CCP to blame, but it's India to blame". You suffer for your sins.

For every Nick Fuentes and James Fishback on the Christian Right, there are a dozen of @LeslieMarshall s on the Left. The mindset of the entire Islamo-Left ecosystem can be summed up in 1 post. If you are “brown” or “black”, you are expected to support a Jamaat-e-Islami backed Hamas sympathizer, because if you don’t, you are supporting White racists. Vivek is too smart for this.

India sets a target for Container Manufacturing in India. Yesterday, Govt approved ₹10,000 crore scheme for manufacturing Shipping containers in India. India currently manufactures around 70,000 containers annually. The target is to increase capacity nearly 10-fold to 7.5 lakh containers. • ₹8,891 crore for operational expenditure support • ₹859 crore for 3% interest subvention on eligible manufacturing loans • ₹150 crore for testing and certification facilities Our container traffic is projected to grow from 24 million containers in 2024 to 175 million containers by 2047. So, it is important that we make them ourselves rather than being dependent on China. China currently manufactures 90% of world container demand. And already we have taken some steps earlier. In Jul26, global shipping giant Maersk unveiled its first India-manufactured EXIM container in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh, and ordered another 1,000 containers. The container was manufactured by the DCM Shriram Group. Let's hope our companies scale up big #HowIndiaGrows

Industrial policy rarely gets it right the first time. What matters is that it keeps getting better. Some months back pointed out the real test of the Textile PLI would be whether the scheme learns and improves. It just did. Round 4 opens Nov 1. The minimum turnover has been halved from ₹200 cr to ₹100 cr, bringing MSMEs and mid-sized units into the fold, and approved applicants get till FY34 to build and scale.
Not every PLI will be a blockbuster was always a given The ₹10,683-crore Textile PLI so far has been underperformed expectations, prompting the Centre to relax norms and consider reopening applications. Given Industrial policy is iterative, the real test is learning and improving scheme design. via @businessline

This is an excellent argument and would benefit from a timeline picture of how Chinese value add as a fraction of total price grew over time, with the Indian story so far superimposed upon that. Here's my attempt using Claude. Both show mass production year 1s - 2008 for China, 2021 for India, and local sourced components. Data is broken out into share of components produced both by foreign and domestic firms located within country (solid lines), and only local firms (dotted lines). Observations: 1. 5 years in, Indian sourced content as a fraction of factory price is higher than China's in that timeframe. 2. ECMS if implemented properly, will keep that lead in place. 3. The year 2-10 dotted line for China is a straight line extrapolation since there's no data. In reality, it is likely a curve closer to the Indian one. 4. 16 years in, China contributes only over a third of the factory price of an iPhone, counting both domestic and foreign entities manufacturing there. India aims at 30% within a decade. One thing that China did that India would need to do, is build domestic brands that leverage this expertise and supply chain capability and independently build and sell smart devices and gadgets. Real wealth building comes from that direction, absorbing the technologies, practices and skills. Apple by itself will never be an entity that does it for India.
In 2009, two economists took an iPhone 3G apart. China’s share of the phone - $6.50, or 3.6%. China was a screwdriver shop, and if Bloomberg Opinion had existed in this form back then, it would have told Beijing to give up on electronics and stick to shoes. China didn’t listen. Today Chinese phones carry 38-40% local value. India is at 18-20%, which is already far ahead of where China started. Comparing India’s component imports with its phone exports and calling the gap a deficit is plain wrong. Indians buy phones either way. Without local assembly, every one of those phones arrives fully built and the import bill gets bigger. About $18.6B of India-made iPhones were sold in India between FY22 and FY26, and the $2.1B trade gain from mounting chips on boards locally shows the same thing. Assembly always comes first. No display or battery maker builds a plant in a country where nobody assembles phones. That’s how China used Tesla and Apple as “catfish” to pull its suppliers up to world standards. The subsidies to build local electronics manufacturing are often called too expensive . But Korea, Taiwan, Japan and China all paid to build their industries, and TSMC was nearly half government money. Under India’s component scheme (ECMS), 106 projects are approved, worth ₹69,500 cr. Display, camera module and battery cell, three of the five big imported parts in a phone, now have approved Indian plants. Taking an Indian iPhone apart in 2030 and seeing how much of it is still imported will be the time for a verdict swarajyamag.com/commentary/a…

Everyone starts somewhere. China started at 3.6% value addition - today it’s around 38-40% We’ve started our journey in a far better position (18-20%) but our journey to 40% will be incredibly hard. Govt schemes are there to address all this - there is also space for meaningful criticism in all this - but journalists and analysts must demonstrate some understanding of the sequencing of govt incentives and what it can lead to. You could write about how govt has failed to nudge cos to do an Indian OS, for example. We have to start now to get equal with others.

By exploring the use of India’s expansive missile-testing and live-fire infrastructure, Japan is highlighting the significant deepening of its strategic and defense cooperation with New Delhi. As Japan expands its stand-off defense capabilities, including a surface-to-ship missile with a range of roughly 1,000 kilometers and shorter-range attack drones, it faces severe geographical constraints at home. Finding adequate firing ranges for training with long-range weapons has become a significant challenge. India, with its extensive coastal and maritime training areas, could offer Japan a solution. japantimes.co.jp/news/2026/1…
