Great episode about the Checks and Balances of our constitutional system and the importance of Congress.
And of course, Yuval Levin mentions that expanding the House is a reform we must discuss when talking about restoring our constitutional balance and trust.
I urge all No Cappers to listen when you have time.
I'm delighted to share this week's episode of the Checks and Balances Podcast, where I speak with the great Yuval Levin of @aei about the state of the Republic and how to recover our civic inheritance. Please consider giving it a listen. @chkbal

If you are really afraid of this, then the best thing you can do is change the conversation.
Take the power out of it.
Speak up for uncapping the House.
Third Parties and independents should support uncapping the House because expanding the House and shrinking the districts makes House elections more competitive, increasing the chances of a third-party or independent winner.

Why does Congress still have just 435 representatives when our population has grown to more than 330 million?
I sat down with Mr. Beat, the historian and #YouTuber with over 1.4 million subscribers, to discuss Project No Cap and the movement to expand the U.S. House of Representatives.
We discussed how expanding #Congress could improve representation, reduce the influence of wealthy special interests, and strengthen democracy, all without a constitutional amendment.
We also talked about the 2026 midterms, the road to 2028, congressional corruption, AI regulation, and the reforms America desperately needs.
Mr. Beat even exclusively shared some of his plans for advancing this movement after the midterms!

The article shared by @Project_No_Cap highlights raising the cap by 150- bringing the total to 585.
Up for debate on the number.

America started with 65 House members. Congress froze it at 435 in 1929.
One member now speaks for 761,000 people. In 1930 it was about 280,000. Alabama had 10 seats. It has 7 now.
Raising the cap only takes a bill, not a constitutional amendment.

“Bridling the presidency is not enough, however. It is at least as crucial to reenergize Congress. The House is the most expressly democratic element of the constitutional system. But over time, as the country has grown, members have come to represent ever larger populations, putting them at greater distance from their constituents.”
