If you are really afraid of this, then the best thing you can do is change the conversation. Take the power out of it. Speak up for uncapping the House.
U.S. Sen. Elissa Slotkin says she’s prepared for a situation in which the Trump administration attempts to change the outcome of the election: “Right in the last two weeks of the election, they somehow come up with a national security incident that only they can protect us from.”

Why does Congress still have just 435 representatives when our population has grown to more than 330 million? I sat down with Mr. Beat, the historian and #YouTuber with over 1.4 million subscribers, to discuss Project No Cap and the movement to expand the U.S. House of Representatives. We discussed how expanding #Congress could improve representation, reduce the influence of wealthy special interests, and strengthen democracy, all without a constitutional amendment. We also talked about the 2026 midterms, the road to 2028, congressional corruption, AI regulation, and the reforms America desperately needs. Mr. Beat even exclusively shared some of his plans for advancing this movement after the midterms! The article shared by @Project_No_Cap highlights raising the cap by 150- bringing the total to 585. Up for debate on the number. Really cool page to check out- projectnocap.com/electoral-c…

America started with 65 House members. Congress froze it at 435 in 1929. One member now speaks for 761,000 people. In 1930 it was about 280,000. Alabama had 10 seats. It has 7 now. Raising the cap only takes a bill, not a constitutional amendment.

“Bridling the presidency is not enough, however. It is at least as crucial to reenergize Congress. The House is the most expressly democratic element of the constitutional system. But over time, as the country has grown, members have come to represent ever larger populations, putting them at greater distance from their constituents.”

When our nation was founded, the House of Representatives had 65 members. That number grew with the population until Congress capped it at 435 in 1929. What if Alabama had 14 House members instead of seven? We would have much better representation. ProjectNoCap.com @Project_No_Cap
