As the union for tech workers we are extremely worried that new job-cutting programmes may be aimed at those with protected characteristics, and the scrapping of fact-checking processes could result in workers being exposed to even more extreme and harmful content.
At @ProspectUnion, we have written to the Chair of the Women and Equalities Committee to ask the committee to question tech executives on the DEI roll-back in the US, and the impact on UK tech workers.

This announcement is welcome and hopefully demonstrates the value that arts and heritage bring to society.
But culture is not just about artefacts and buildings - it’s about people. Some of this funding must be used to address endemic low pay and end job losses in the sector.
People across the nation are set to gain more access to culture where they live with a major funding package announced by Culture Secretary @lisanandy today. This includes financial support for arts venues, museums, libraries, and heritage
