Latest on the Ruislip RFC HS2 foam - HS2 says tunnelling paused for 2 hours on Saturday. Foam was slurry. It says the site is safe but being monitored with extra anchors to stop subsidence. Locals are far from convinced & very concerned.

So the eruption from the HS2 tunnel at Ruislip Rugby club is still bubbling at least 48hours since it was first reported on Saturday 18th Feb. Need the @EnvAgency to tell us what it is and how much has been lost into aquifer. This raises questions about all HS2 tunnels.

In light of @TheSun's report that HS2 will not go to central London, @henrimurison tells @hanrmiller that there aren’t enough platforms at Old Oak Common to deliver a full service between London and Manchester and beyond.
Party politics aside, the new play area and other improvements to the recreation ground should be viewed as a welcome addition to the area.
It's about time that Maple Cross' residents started to benefit from the money that they pay in to the system.

The first picture is a winterbourne chalk stream in West Hyde upstream of the discharge point from HS2’s Western Valley Slopes, the second is downstream of the discharge point. Investigations ongoing.
