Trading illegally will not be tolerated! Your goods will be impounded!!!
#JMPD officers are impounding both perishable & non-perishable goods from illegal informal traders.
Pushing trolleys on the road is illegal & dangerous as it obstructs the flow of traffic, endangers pedestrians & puts the person pushing the trolley at risk of being struck by a vehicle. It can also cause accidents when drivers are forced to swerve or brake suddenly.

♦️ NIGHTLIFE SAFETY BLITZ: OPERATION ROUND-UP ♦️
JMPD, Environmental Health and the Department of Home Affairs joined forces last night for a Nightlife Blittz Law Enforcement Operation in Marshalltown, Ward 124, targeting liquor outlets, noise pollution, entertainment and health compliance, and immigration documentation.
Nine outlets were inspected. Environmental Health issued 9 statutory notices for non-compliance, JMPD issued 4 sound and entertainment impoundment notices and impounded 4 sound systems, and a Section 56 notice was issued. Home Affairs opened one docket and detained one individual for immigration-related non-compliance, while two others were confirmed to hold valid documentation.
Public Safety thanks all stakeholders for a well-coordinated operation and remains committed to a lawful, safe nightlife for every resident.

♦️ NIGHTLIFE BLITZ: BEHIND THE SCENES COMPLIANCE ♦️
Environmental Health Practitioners inspected kitchens, building conditions and overall health and safety compliance at outlets visited tonight, while CRUM impounded a sound system found in breach of noise regulations.
Every outlet is held to the same standard, inside the kitchen and out on the street. Public safety is nonnegotiable.

♦️ NIGHTLIFE BLITZ: CONTINUES ♦️
Home Affairs officials joined tonight’s inner-city NIGHTLIFE BLITZ operation to verify asylum documentation on site. Where valid papers could not be produced, an individual was detained for further processing in line with immigration law.
Public Safety operations uphold the full reach of the law, not just municipal by-laws.

♦️ NIGHTLIFE BLITZ: NO ROOM FOR RESISTANCE ♦️
During tonight’s inner-city Nightlife Safety Blitz multidisciplinary operation, one individual attempted to resist arrest as officers carried out their duties. JMPD held firm, and the operation continued without further incident.
Public Safety officers will always see the job through.

♦️ ANOTHER NIGHT, ANOTHER BLITZ ♦️
Johannesburg’s streets don’t sleep, and neither does Public Safety. Tonight, JMPD teamed up with CRUM, Environmental Health and Home Affairs for a fresh multi-agency operation sweeping through the inner city, checking that the businesses trading after dark are doing so safely, lawfully and with the community’s wellbeing in mind.
Compliance isn’t a once-off exercise, it’s a standard we hold every single day and night.

♦️ NIGHTLIFE SAFETY BLITZ: OPERATION ROUND-UP ♦️
Last night, JMPD joined forces with SAPS, Environmental Health and CRUM for a multi-agency Nightlife Safety Blitz across Denver and Cleveland, inspecting 12 liquor outlets across Wards 65 and 118.
The operation resulted in one premises closed, 14 statutory notices and 3 noise pollution notices issued, and a verbal warning for non-compliance with Section 40. A recurring concern uncovered on the night: several outlets hold valid liquor licences but have no on-site kitchen, a requirement without which the licence does not hold, with some owners pointing to informal traders outside as a stand-in kitchen.
Public Safety thanks all stakeholders for a well-coordinated operation and remains committed to a safer nightlife for every resident.

♦️ NIGHTLIFE BLITZ: OUTLET SHUT DOWN ON THE SPOT ♦️
Last night’s multi-agency liquor outlet blitz operation delivered its most decisive result yet: one premises was so far out of compliance that officers couldn’t even find anyone to answer for it. With no manager present to account for the outlet, JMPD was left with no option but to shut it down on the spot.
This is what happens when non-compliance runs this deep. Public Safety will not look away.

#SaferJoburg
♦️ NIGHTLIFE SAFETY BLITZ: OUTLET 3 ♦️
The Nightlife Safety Blitz continued tonight at a third outlet, where JMPD officers and the multidisciplinary team cross-checked the premises layout against the approved floor plan on file to confirm full compliance with licence conditions.
No outlet is exempt from the law. Public Safety first.

#SaferJoburg
♦️ NIGHTLIFE SAFETY BLITZ: OUTLET 2 ♦️
JMPD officers and the multidisciplinary team verified liquor licence documentation, health and safety hygiene, trading hours, and stock compliance at a second outlet visited tonight as part of the multi-agency operation.
Public Safety continues to hold Johannesburg’s nightlife industry accountable.

#SaferJoburg
♦️ NIGHTLIFE SAFETY BLITZ: OUTLET 1 ♦️
A kitchen inspected during tonight’s liquor outlet blitz operation was found with no extraction system, no valid Certificate of Acceptability (COA), no pest control, and extremely poor housekeeping, all required under the outlet’s liquor licence conditions.
Public Safety will not compromise on compliance.

♦️ NIGHTLIFE SAFETY BLITZ UNDERWAY ♦️
Tonight, Public Safety—JMPD officers joined forces with partner departments for a multi-agency compliance operation targeting liquor outlets across the City. ♦️ ENFORCEMENT IN ACTION ♦️
The Environmental Health inspectors first fined this illegal amalgam abattoir on 1 October, the operators were given a clear instruction: comply, or face further action. Three weeks on, with no improvement shown, law enforcement has returned to enforce that warning.
Cattle and sheep are being impounded under officer supervision today, with some animals resisting the process.
Public Safety remains committed to protecting public health, safeguarding animal welfare, and ensuring businesses operate within the law.
