Every day they are going to destroyed buildings and clearing dust and rubble with their bare hands so that families can move back in before the winter months. The occupation has only allowed in a total of 115 “fuel and energy trucks” (meaning diesel, cooking gas, and gasoline), a fraction of the 1,100 trucks that were promised to be allowed in during this period of time post “ceasefire.” These items are an integral part of the clean up as they allow the operation of trucks and tractors that can be used to remove the rubble. By only allowing in 10% of the agreed upon amount they are deliberately obstructing the cleaning out and cleaning up process. The pediatric department at Nasser Hospital requested our help!! Support: chuffed.org/project/136892-m… There is a huge influx of patients at the hospital in Khan Younis due to displacements from the North and the number of malnourished and sick babies being born daily. In a 24 hour period, the pediatric ward had 1,000 patients visit with is 10x the usual number. Mothers, babies, children are sprawled out on the hospital floor because of the overcrowding. The Sameer Project responded by delivering 30 mattresses so that the huge number of cases have somewhere to rest and recover. Each mattress cost $75, with the total coming to $2,239 after 11% commission. We are always glad to be able to support the hospitals that are working so hard to take care of patients. The bombings are continuing, the famine is ongoing, and Gaza is reaching an absolute breaking point. HELP: chuffed.org/project/help-us-…. The situation is dire in every respect. Hospitals cannot treat the injured, there is no fuel, people are searching for water in the heat, babies are dying from malnutrition, Gaza is screaming from the suffering, and the world is ignoring its wails. We are nearing catastrophic levels of famine in which all 2 million people will not have food to eat. Our teams cannot find enough basic ingredients to make our big batch pots, so we have been providing rice meals to the camps that rely on us and do not receive aid from anyone else. On July 13 Translating Falasteen (@translatingpal) x The Sameer Project distributed 120 hot meals of rice to families in individual tents in al-Samer neighborhood in Gaza City. Each meal is approximately $11.50 after commission, or $1,492 for the rice alone after bank transfer, but not including transportation or labor. The food we can find is expensive.
