One of the worst days of FO according to him was when AIG and Herbert told him to let go of his Assets in other to clear his debts. He said everywhere first blur 🤣. He gave up everything and was only left with his house in Lagos, Abuja, office and his AP shares.
Herbert Wigwe narrates the story of his worst day in his career as Access Bank CEO. It was a $35m (over N4.4b) loan facility that owed by African Petroleum (AP) Plc that became non-performing in 2009. Femi Otedola was the chairman of AP Plc at that time. Herbert was under severe pain that he got hospitalized. If they didn't manage this situation, they could become completely bankrupt. Herbert and Aig had to sell all their assets through fire sale to maintain their reputation. The process took ten days.

A billionaire trader has spent 40 years trying to delete a one-hour documentary. It shows him making $100 million in a single afternoon. He predicted the crash that made it possible three months in advance. He has never explained why he wants the film gone. His name is Paul Tudor Jones. The film is on YouTube. The documentary is called "Trader." PBS filmed it in 1987, three months before Black Monday. Jones was 32 years old, working from a small New York office, wearing shorts and a t-shirt, yelling at his phones, throwing paper across the room, and sleeping under his desk. The film captures him and his research partner Peter Borish overlaying a chart of the 1929 market on 1987, month by month. The two charts tracked within one percent. Borish said this is exactly what happened in 1929. Jones said if the analog holds, October is when it breaks. On October 19, 1987, the Dow fell 22.6 percent in a single day. It remains the largest one-day percentage loss in stock market history. That afternoon, Tudor Jones covered his shorts and made roughly $100 million. He was 33 years old. He was one of the very few traders on the street who came out ahead. He tried to bury the tape because it made him look reckless in a professional world that punished swagger. Twenty years of legal effort did not delete it. Someone kept a copy. It is on YouTube. It has fewer views than most makeup tutorials. The film is not really about a crash. It is about a specific philosophy of trading. Jones is shown building conviction slowly, sizing carefully, then striking hard when the setup arrives. He is never once shown making a random bet. He is shown doing the same thing five times a day, every day, for three months. His signature line, repeated across a 45-year career: "The most important rule of trading is to play great defense, not great offense." He does not try to be right. He tries not to lose. He sets stops tight, cuts positions fast, and never averages down on a loser. Every trade in the film follows this template. Tudor Investment Corp, the fund he founded in 1980, has compounded at roughly 19 percent a year for 45 years. He is 71 years old and still trading. His method has not changed since the film. The lesson: greatness in markets is a refusal, not a talent. Refusal to be reckless. Refusal to be certain. Refusal to average down. Refusal to trust yourself in a drawdown. Tudor Jones has refused those refusals for 45 years. The tape is free. The philosophy is repeated in every trade. Most traders will never watch it.

General Park Chung-hee transformed South Korea from a war-torn, aid-dependent nation into a global economic powerhouse by completely shifting the country's reliance away from consumable food grants and into capital-intensive, state-controlled industrial machinery. [1, 2] When Park seized power in a 1961 military coup, South Korea was among the poorest countries on earth, relying entirely on the United States to feed its citizens. Rather than using foreign aid for short-term consumption, Park implemented a ruthless, state-directed system known as the "Miracle on the Han River".[1, 2, 3, 4] His playbook for weaponizing aid money to end aid dependency was executed through four strategic mechanisms: 1. Forcing a Shift from "Grants" to "Development Loans" Prior to Park, U.S. aid was primarily distributed as grants for food, clothes, and raw reconstruction materials. Park explicitly renegotiated South Korea's aid architecture with the United States, demanding that financial inflows be shifted away from consumable charity into long-term concessional development loans. This pivot allowed his government to legally and directly inject international cash into targeted industrial manufacturing infrastructure instead of basic welfare. [, 2, 3, 4, 5] 2. State Monopoly on Banking and the Rise of the Chaebols Park established the powerful Economic Planning Board (EPB) and nationalized all domestic banks. Under this architecture: [1, 2] •The state funneled international aid money, foreign capital, and subsidized loans directly to selected, high-performing family-run businesses. [1, 2, 3] •These businesses were molded into massive global conglomerates known as Chaebols (such as Samsung, Hyundai, and LG). [1, 2] •The Performance Ultimatum: If a Chaebol successfully met the government’s strict global export targets, they were rewarded with more aid-backed financing. If they failed to sell products abroad, their state licenses and funding were immediately stripped away. [1, 2, 3] 3. Normalizing Relations with Japan for Critical Capital In 1965, Park made the deeply controversial and highly unpopular decision to sign the Treaty on Basic Relations with Japan. [1, 2] •He bypassed severe domestic civilian protests and accepted a $800 million economic package from Japan in the form of raw grants and soft loans. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5] •Rather than distributing this money to individual colonial-era victims, Park funneled the entirety of the funds into building essential industrial foundation blocks. This capital directly built the Gyeongbu Expressway (connecting Seoul to Busan) and launched the Pohang Iron and Steel Company (POSCO), which provided the cheap steel required to feed South Korea's emerging automotive and shipbuilding industries.

Obi was clueless then and is clueless now.
As Governor of Anambra State: When there was EROSION in a village, Peter Obi said he called President Obasanjo. When there was an ARMED ROBBERY, Peter Obi called President Yar'Adua. So, what duties did he now perform as a Governor? Meanwhile, he said President Tinubu did not call Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde when the Oriire abduction happened. He didn't mention that Seyi Makinde called President Tinubu. See enh, when you choose to talk too much, you will talk yourself into confusion.

The most bizarre part of all this is that the same president who instructed ICPC to launch this investigation have already publicly expressed full confidence in his Chief of Staff, who is the epicenter of the investigation. Can anyone explain what exactly the ICPC is investigating when the report of the investigation will still have to go the president through the COS who ought to have been suspended by now. This so-called investigation is clearly prejudiced and predetermined. In his announcement, Bayo Onanuga already labelled the PFICP as fictitious, Adeyemi’s appointment letter as forged, and other documents as false. If they have already reached these conclusions, why stage a fake investigation to gaslight the public?
STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE PRESIDENT TINUBU ORDERS ICPC TO INVESTIGATE “PRESIDENTIAL FOREIGN INTERVENTION PROMOTION COUNCIL” President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to conduct a thorough investigation into the activities of a “Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council” (PFIPC) and all related matters. The President directed that the investigation be concluded and a comprehensive report submitted to him within 30 days. The directive follows the discovery of the fictitious PFIPC, which was never established by the Federal Government of Nigeria and has no basis in any law, presidential instrument, executive approval, or other lawful act of Government. One Adeniyi Adeyemi Matthew presented himself as the Director-General of the so-called PFIPC and falsely claimed to be a presidential appointee. Among the issues to be investigated by the ICPC are the forged appointment letters and other official government documents; the use of a false claim of presidential appointment to seek or obtain official recognition and diplomatic support, including visa facilitation; and the opening of multiple bank accounts in the names of purported government agencies using allegedly forged documents. President Tinubu directed the ICPC to investigate not only the conduct of the principal individual and other collaborators involved but also the wider circumstances that may have enabled a fictitious body and a false claim of presidential appointment to acquire an appearance of official legitimacy. The investigation is to examine the provenance and use of false official documents; the processes through which official recognition or diplomatic support may have been sought or obtained; the opening and operation of any related bank accounts; the source and movement of any funds involved; and the role of any public officer, private individual, financial institution, intermediary or other person or entity that may have facilitated, enabled or participated in the alleged scheme. The President further directed the Commission to identify any weaknesses in government and institutional procedures that may have been exploited and to recommend immediate measures to prevent the recurrence of similar abuses. All ministries, departments and agencies of the Federal Government have been directed to provide the ICPC, upon lawful request, with all relevant information, records and assistance required for the expeditious completion of the investigation. President Tinubu stated that the integrity of the Presidency and the institutions of the Federal Government must be protected against impersonation, forgery, abuse of official identity and the exploitation of weaknesses in the public service. The President directed that all persons found culpable be treated strictly in accordance with applicable law. Bayo Onanuga Special Adviser to the President (Information and Strategy) 7 July 2026

I REJECT THE CONCOCTED RESULTS OF THE ADC PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARIES Following reports of widespread voter disenfranchisement in most parts of the country during the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Presidential Primaries yesterday, I unequivocally reject the concocted results being announced. I had initially stated that I will only accept the outcome of the Primaries if the process was free, fair, and transparent, and I stand by my word. I will not accept results from a process that does not reflect the values that the ADC had pledged to uphold, to rescue Nigerians from the impunity and gross mismanagement that our country is currently facing in the hands of the ruling party. There’s no way that about eighty percent of members of the party were not allowed to vote, and you expect me to accept such results. Then what makes us different from the others? The whole idea of the ADC was to give the Nigerian people a platform, to amplify the voices of the downtrodden, and make Nigeria a better place for everyone irrespective of backgrounds, ethnicity, or religion. A party that criticizes the ruling APC and INEC for vote buying, rigging and writing of results, cannot be engaged in vote buying, writing of results, and other electoral malpractices that leads to the disenfranchisement of voters who are party members. This is not acceptable! - Rt Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi
