This video is almost 40 years old. You have to admire the presence of mind, the forthrightness and Ama Ata Aidooβs ability to confront imperialists with the truth about their endless pillage and blatant disrespect toward the African continent.

Gov Douye Diri of Bayelsa State fires back at former Cross River Governor Duke.
Says Coastal road is doable through Bayelsa, warns he prefers to be a local champion that deliver projects for the rural people.
Gov Diri, stated this at the 200th State Exco meeting in Govt House.

Governor Diri is right. Southerners of repute should stand together for the collective development of the region, the push for the coastal road actually threading through the coasts of southern states should not be an exception.

Yesterday, I joined the family and friends of Ernest Sorgwe as we shared fond memories and reflected on the impact he had on us all. A sobering thought that guides us is the brevity of life and the need to make every day count.

Today, I joined other distinguished Bayelsans and business leaders to honour a friend and brother, Chief Robert Ayalla Enogha, for the official opening of his new hotel, Ayalla Hotel Extension, in Kpansia in Yenagoa Local Government Area of the state.
I must commend the vision and tenacity of Chief Enogha, who has sustained his interest in the hospitality industry for almost two decades.
My physical presence at the event demonstrates the importance our Government of Assured Prosperity attaches to investment drives into the state.
The current administration will continue to provide an enabling environment for businesses to thrive, hence our massive investments in critical road infrastructure, security and power.
I am glad to note that with the steady supply of electricity from our 60 MW gas turbines, the running cost of most businesses will drastically reduce. Those are the incentives coming from our government.
Also today, I stopped by the newly opened Trendβs Place Hotel and Suites in Okaka to inspect the facility, which has added to Yenagoa's beautiful landscape.

The Viking sank, the British sank but the ijaw have continued to live like river gods for centuries. The British saw and acknowledged their skills. The vikings applaud them. The ijaws are gods of the seas. Ask more about that ijaw people. Imagine the boat here
