Yesterday @ReadingBioSci ecology lecturer @BecksSpake and @UniRdg_Met PhD students @jfallon1997 @DevonFrancis96 visited parliament:
We joined with other scientists to explain to MPs the consequences of new oil and gas licenses, with @ChrisGPackham @GreenJennyJones #NoNewOil
Message from @antonioguterres couldn't be clearer, @UoR_Careers it's time to end the fossil fuel recruitment pipeline and promote careers for a future "rooted in solidarity, equality, and sustainability"
@UniRdg_Sust @UniofReading @peopleandplanet
My message to students at @SciencesPo and around the world.
When deciding on your career, resist the siren calls of companies that are destroying our planet, stealing our privacy, and trading in lies and hatred.

Following today's @WMO news that there's a 66% chance the world will surpass the 1.5°c global warming limit between now and 2027, we spoke to @hancloke from @UniRdg_Met and @UniRdg_GES about what this means for people and the planet. #ClimateCrisis

We are supporting the student-led @plantbasedunis
Make 100% of food sold on campus plant-based
Our demand aligns with @UniofReading goal for #NetZero 2030, reduces ecological impact of food, & shifts public opinion in favour of a plant-based food system

We call upon @UniofReading careers department to:
1. Refuse new & renewed relationships with oil, gas, or mining companies
2. Adopt a publicly available Ethical Careers Policy that explicitly excludes oil, gas and mining companies from recruitment opportunities
