Walter Koenig made Star Trek history w/his voice cameo in the 2023 series finale of "Picard."
He didn't appear as Pavel Chekov; but rather President Anton Chekov, leader of the United Federation of Planets; the son of his original character.
The name was a tribute to Anton Yelchin, who'd died in 2016 and had played Chekov in the JJ Abrams films.
This made Walter the last of the original cast to appear in a Star Trek series.

Naguib Mahfouz won the Nobel in Literature in 1988. Ahmed Zewail won the Nobel in Chemistry in 1999, after winning the Wolf Prize. Omar Yaghi won the Nobel in Chemistry in 2025.
