Trump has cut legal immigration more than illegal immigration, as I predicted. While illegal entries have fallen, they continued a prior trend, falling more before he came back. Meanwhile, Trump has cut legal entries, reversing the prior upward trend.

H-1Bs are down by an estimated 25% thanks to Trump. But that includes renewals. The decline for new visas is estimated to be around 90%.
H-1B visas for skilled workers are also down, largely because Trump imposed a $100K fee to hire any H-1B worker entering from abroad. Most H-1B visas issued abroad are renewals, so the decline for new visas was likely closer to 90%. cato.org/blog/trump-has-cut-…

There’s a lot to unpack in the newly released Ukraine impeachment documents, but the TLDR is already plain to see. There was a massive, coordinated, behind the scenes effort to frame President Trump over a perfectly ordinary phone call. That plot involved the Vindman brothers, Eric Ciaramella, Adam Schiff, the fake news, and the Inspector General, who played a key role in getting the whole thing off the ground.
All of that happened 7 years ago, and it is only coming out now because the statutes of limitations have expired, meaning no one can be held to account. That’s the short and long of it.
