AIFF had the option to play the ASEAN Cup and get paid by FIFA, but Chaubey and co chose to play meaningless friendlies and waste our resources. Let them repay it from their own pockets. Don't let them touch any of the AIFF money.
AIFF's bid to break its fixed deposit of Rs 20 crore has been stalled by general body members. AIFF has sought extension of deadline to clear pending payments to Brazil (approx. Rs 19 crore) & Uruguay (approx. Rs 4.7 crore) for last month's friendlies. timesofindia.indiatimes.com/…

This happened in Hyderabad! Two young girls, most likely minors were trashed by unknown men. They were called prostitutes and were accused of luring children with chocolates to convert them into Christianity. But the girls kept pleading that they were visiting their aunt! Never heard of any such incident in Hyderabad ever. And the audacity is appalling. While the video became viral now, apparently the incident took place near Dr BR Ambedkar statue in Almasguda, Maheshwaram last month. No action on the goons so far.

In January 2016, an Indian TV host told former porn star Sunny Leone to her face that a member of parliament blamed her for a rise in rape cases. She didn’t flinch. By the next morning, the whole of India was talking about the interview, and it had backfired so badly that Bollywood’s biggest star came to her defense. In the video below, she sits in the hot seat while he goes after her past, question by question. She was born Karenjit Kaur to a Punjabi Sikh family in a small town in Canada. She met an agent, saw photos of the women he worked with, and didn’t think “vulgar.” She thought they looked beautiful and free. She became Penthouse Pet of the Year. Years later, she moved to India, walked into the Bigg Boss house and walked out a household name. Then came the films. But the host isn’t there to talk about films. He asks if Aamir Khan would ever work with her. “Probably not.” “Why?” “Because of my background.” He asks if her past will haunt her forever. She tells him it’s the media that says “haunt,” not her. He asks if she’d do it all again. “100%.” Then: “Pardon me if I’m being offensive, but how many people would think of growing up to be a porn star?” “No one.” Then he brings up the politician, and she smiles: “You think about me so much in your day you want to put me in your speeches. I’m waiting for Obama to make a speech about me.” He moves on to the government’s complaints about her new movie. She reminds him they still gave it a certificate. He asks whether we’ll ever see her in a sari. “Of course.” On camera, she never cracks. Afterward, she admitted she’d felt “completely alone,” “upset and scared.” She said she never imagined this is what she’d have to face. Aamir Khan said he’d be happy to work with her and praised her grace and dignity. Hrithik Roshan, Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor called her to tell her to stay strong. The host ended up publishing an open letter defending himself. A year later, she and her husband adopted a baby girl from a small town in India. Then they had twin boys. He spent the interview trying to make her ashamed of who she was. India ended up ashamed of him.

For the life of me, even if it was up to par, I would never buy a car from the Chinese Govt, which literally has attacked India and taken its territory in recent years. But Indian middle class, who constantly rant about anti-nationals, have no qualms about doing so.

These are broiler chickens which have a very short lifespan and would get immediately eaten by stray dogs as soon as released in the open space. He is literally causing a reduction in supply, which would increase prices, which would push more poor people into hunger.
So much wealth, such a big name... but look at the heart❤️ Seeing the chickens about to be slaughtered, Anant Ambani decided to save them all by buying them and took them to Vantara. Many people have money, but not everyone has such a compassionate heart.

Calicut in the 1400s was one of the busiest ports on earth. Ibn Battuta described it, so did da Gama later. Ships from Arabia, Persia, East Africa, China all unloading pepper and cardamom. The Zamorin who ran it kept no standing army. His power was purely commercial. When da Gama sailed in during 1498 he found thirteen Arab ships already in the harbour. A working free market, built over six centuries. Within a generation the Portuguese bolted a system on top of it, the cartaz. Every ship in these waters now had to buy a Portuguese pass or get sunk. The world's first maritime protection racket, and Calicut's trade network never recovered. What gets me is the timing. We are now dredging Vizhinjam just up the same Kerala coast, trying to win back the transshipment role we lost that century. Same geography, same logic. It just took us 500 years to come back to it.

Exactly two months ago, I wrote this and faced faceless trolls defending AIFF’s decision and questioning my concerns about Indian football. Now AIFF is on the brink of bankruptcy. Quoting the conclusion from my article. This pretty much sums up AIFF's current situation. #Indianfootball. khelnow.com/football/indian-… AIFF has skipped the ASEAN Cup 2026, which would have paid it to turn up, taken on a fixture costing ₹60-70 crore to stage, and declined to say how it is being funded. If the package holds, the federation will have staged the biggest match played in India in years and covered its cost. It would be the strongest single result of his time in the chair. If it does not, the loss lands on a body whose operating accounts held ₹11.25 crore in March, whose guaranteed rights income has ended, whose league has no broadcaster, whose women’s league has no signed commercial partner and no start date, and whose youth competitions have no calendar. No reserve sits behind it to absorb a bad night. That is the part that reaches past the federation’s own books. A shortfall wouldn't be a line item to write off. It would set the ceiling on what Indian football can afford to do for years, and the programmes with no money behind them already are the ones that would feel it first. Either way, a single friendly is now carrying more of Indian football’s finances than a friendly should. And on the federation’s own answer, the terms won’t be made public.
🚨 EXCL: AIFF has declined to explain how the India vs Brazil friendly is being funded, citing a confidentiality clause in the contract. The federation's regular bank accounts held ₹11.25 crore in March 2026. A single friendly is carrying more of Indian football's finances than a friendly should. Another victim of the RMG ban. So many knock-on effects.. hit the sports industry in India really, really hard. How do they compensate for this and revive things to where it was in the sports industry? Looks pretty distant at the moment. Instead of regulating and setting clear guidelines, an outright overnight ban killed so many livelihoods.
🚨 EXCL: No Pro Kabaddi League in 2026. PKL 13 is now likely in the June-July 2027 window. @KhelNow The broadcaster's offer is half the old deal, and team owners have approached the Sports Ministry, as ISL clubs did. Full story 👇 #PKL #ProKabaddi khelnow.com/kabaddi/pkl-13-n…

Is the Police HQ a designated Protest location? Did they take a written permission for protest? When are they booking Ramleela maidan.
ACP Manasvi Vashishta has emerged as a hero for many disgruntled police officers. For 3 hours, they gathered outside the police HQ this morning demanding resolution for their grudges. Following a clash with lawyers in Shahddara, ACP Manasvi and SHO Arun Kumar were transferred.

India is planning to remove LTCG tax for FIIs and keep 12.5% tax for retail investors who have been supporting markets with their SIPs Retail investors are also paying 20% TCS to the government on investments of more than ₹10 lakhs in foreign equities This is a reminder for everyone that the finance lobby doesn't really care about your wealth building and retirement corpus You are allowed to participate in the markets primarily to facilitate tax collection through unethical STT, high STCG, and a racist LTCG soon

As @americakaran rightly pointed out, Malayali Sanghis celebrate Marathi kings over Malayali kings. My analysis of the past decade identified 13 documented instances of Malayali Sanghis commemorating Shivaji Maharaj, compared to just 2 documented instances for Marthanda Varma.
Trojan horse? We're against this modern concoction of a subverted Kerala identity. Kerala Sanghis are the only Malayalis who publicly celebrate historical political & cultural icons of Malayalam. From Pazhashi Raja to Marthanda Varma or Punthanam to Narayana Bhattariripad.

No Indian hates their own state and community as much as Malayali Sanghis do. It’s not even criticism out of love. It’s pure, fundamental, self-hating, rejection. They pour scorn on Kerala’s own history, chant the names of Marathi kings than their own. What a bizarre lot.
