On July 12, RPBCWD staff discovered four adult zebra mussels in Lake Ann. Because of the small number of zebra mussels found within an isolated area, a copper sulfate treatment is warranted to attempt control of the infestation, with preparations beginning this Friday.
Swimmers may see a yellow floating silt curtain surrounding a small section of the lake. Treatment will occur from August 7-13, and will be safe for beach-goers. Please do not disturb the barriers. For more information, visit rpbcwd.org/news/zebra-mussel….

Whenever it rains and there’s snow melt there could be a lot of scenes with snow and ice clogging storm drains, causing localized flooding around drains and on streets. ☔ You can help prevent this flooding by keeping your local storm drains, like this one, clear this winter.
