Winter is approaching so give your yard a deep clean before the first snow. If you mix a yard full of neglected dog waste with a rainy spring season, beyond causing problems for clean up, heavy rain carries dog waste into water sources, polluting water that humans rely on.

The official Adopt-a-Drain Fall Leaf Cleanup Week kicks off THIS Monday, October 11th and runs through Sunday, October 17th.
Remember, while leaves might be “natural” debris, they become pollution when large quantities hit the water.

Great mowing tips from Washington Conservation District! During times of drought like we are currently experiencing in MN, you may not need to mow your lawn at all.
If you do mow, set your blade higher. Taller grass will have deeper roots.🌱💧
