Meta recently updated their terms of service to require any businesses that use their products to turn over their intellectual property in exchange for access to their platforms. I’m urging Meta to reverse this decision and compensate creators and publishers for their work.

Lounges are getting bigger and better. & yes, they're increasingly overcrowded. And they probably always will be. Airlines and banks have made lounges the cornerstone of their credit card machine. There's no restriction that will offset the amount of cards being sold today.

During the January 6th attack on the nation's Capitol, Daniel Rodriguez drove a stun gun into the neck of Officer Mike Fanone. He was knocked unconscious, had a heart attack and suffered a traumatic brain injury. It ended his career. Rodriguez got over 12 years in prison for his assault on police. On day one, Donald Trump gave him a "full, complete and unconditional pardon" and sent him home. This is far and away the most corrupt White House in American history.

Everyone else in Amex Lounges is a low class reject. Not you, though. The $895 you paid made you more special.
I’m done with @AmericanExpress platinum card. It was worth $900 a year when you could get into lounges with it. There was some exclusivity. Now every low class reject gets in. An hour waitlist and then when you finally get in, it’s people on speakerphone, screaming, acting like it’s a Carnival cruise. Amex has been enshittified. I’ll save my 895 bucks a year.

Orbán gone. The Bolsonaros gone. Vucic gone. Netanyahu so desperate to avoid facing the criminal courts of his country if he loses the upcoming election that he's trying to incite a nuclear war. Americans can do their part to stem the toxic tide of global fascism on November 3.
BREAKING: Putin just lost another ally in Europe, and people are celebrating in the streets. Aleksandar Vucic, Serbia’s authoritarian leader and close ally of Trump and Putin, has officially conceded defeat in a historic snap parliamentary election. The student-led opposition movement has won, ending more than a decade of Vucic’s grip on power. Voter turnout reached nearly 70%, the highest since the breakup of Yugoslavia in 1992.

We already knew there is not enough power to plug in enormous quantities of GPUs collecting dust in warehouses but this admission from the SpaceX CFO implies that EVEN WHERE THERE IS POWER and the GPUs are ALREADY INSTALLED, they are STILL not flipping the on switch. Why? Because there is ALSO a giant compute glut within already energized compute and they wont be able to cover depreciation expense once they flip the on switch. The chips are depreciating either way but not flipping them on keep up the accounting illusion of smaller losses. Withholding hoarded compute also helps to not exacerbate downward pricing pressure.
SpaceX CFO panicked on the earnings call ‘We installed them in the racks but we haven’t turned them on yet and there’s a very important reason why a CFO would jump in and cover their butt, because the second you turn on those GPUs you have to start depreciating them; you have to start booking the loss of the capital that you spent to buy them’ ‘If they are not turned on yet you don’t have to encor that depreciation expense and if you take that exchange and the gigawatts and the CFO, that’s why our earnings are so great because we’re not depreciating all these assets’ ‘They are just buying these things, buying them in thousands and they are just putting them on shelves; they aren’t even installing them, they can’t install them because they can’t get the data center built’

ELECTION DAY RECORD: with a week to go, U.S. gas prices are 42.3c/gal above 2022’s election day avg, the priciest election day at the pump ever. diesel is nearly $1/gal above 2022’s $5.33/gal. both are on track for the highest election day prices on record (not all-time highs).

SpaceX Blocked A U.S. And NATO Satellite to Assist a Russian Intercept After Crippling Ukraine's Air Defenses The Math Proves the Reality that Musk doesn't want you to see. On Oct 13-14, SpaceX restricted Starshield/Starlink during a 39-missile Russian attack, cutting Ukrainian drone intercepts by 23% and stranding U.S. personnel in Kyiv. Forty-eight hours later (Oct 15), SpaceX blocked U.S.-licensed NRO, Space Force, and NATO radar satellite ICEYE-X36 in orbit so Russia's COSMOS 2612 weapon could intercept it (99.89%-99.98% posterior) Our Model Demonstrates that the Russian intercept of the US/NATO ICEYE X-36 satellite (contemporaneous with the throttling of Starlink) would not have been possible, and almost certainly not been attempted, without SpaceX resources. At a material opportunity cost, Russia sprinted its COSMOS satellite to intercept ICEYE X36. Based on a previous attempt in June during which X36 maneuvered to evade COSMOS, Russia knew that this would be successful only if X36 could not maneuver. On October 15, SpaceX fixed X36 in place by issuing a collision alert for a sub-kilometer approach with its Starlink 35856 when SpaceX's own data shows that the actual distance was 4.8-5.0x as great. SpaceX issued no warning to COSMOS despite the fact that its sprint was far more threatening than the stable X36 orbit. SpaceX did not maneuver its Starlink 35856 satellite to clear the supposed collision risk. How, absent coordination with SpaceX, could Russia have known that SpaceX would take actions that (a) misrepresented the danger posed by X36, and (b) resulted in the fixing of X36 thereby enabling COSMOS's successful intercept? Thus, SpaceX was directly involved in simultaneously compromising Ukraine’s defensive and offensive capabilities. The conjunction of these two events makes innocent explanations untenable. The Pentagon Capture & Iran Round Two Trap: Pentagon CTO Emil Michael who cashed out $7M–$35M from Musk’s inner-circle SpaceX vehicles (M8/Gigafund 0.1 and M6/Valor M33 II) and KQ Partners / xAI (selling xAIfor $5M–$25M three days before taking over CDAO/OSCand 21 days before SpaceX bought xAI, while keeping M8, M6, M9, M10 & Nomadic open) and Pete Hegseth purged rival Anthropic in two hours, surrendered combat command over US drones used to attack Iran to Starlink’s "Terms of Service," and on October 2 named Musk Co-Director of Project Meridian to design the Pentagon's "Future of Warfighting" just as America enters Iran Round Twowith depleted Patriot/THAAD magazines and Russia feeding U.S. warship/aircraft locations to Tehran. SpaceX’s actions in Ukraine raise serious questions about its alignment with US security interests and its reliability as a cornerstone of US defense. These questions are particularly troubling given the effectively irreplaceable position SpaceX has been granted by the Hegseth/Emil Michael Pentagon. $SPCX $TSLA Our full quantitative analysis below w/ @streetwiseprof
