As of now and henceforth (and hitherto) my feed shall be filled with funny teaching stories that inspire me to write. Questioning the Reality of the Universe. Plus, fuzzy little animals. Because, obviously.

#WriterBeware: Another fake agency doing the solicitation thing: Collins Literary Guild. Web domain just 54 days old, multiple false claims of repped books, & a roster of AI "literary agents" w/ bios cribbed from @GreenburgerLit collinslitguild.com/literary…
These pictures are everything—they tell a million stories without saying a word.
On July 18, 1899, in Long Island City, Queens, New York, a group of newspaper boys made a startling discovery. They found out that the supplier was providing them with fewer newspapers than they had paid for at the distribution centers. In response, the young newsboys took matters into their own hands. They overturned the supplier's cart, expelled him from the town, and either destroyed or pilfered his newspapers.
This incident quickly became known in Manhattan, where newsboys were already dissatisfied with the high costs of purchasing newspaper bundles from publishers William Randolph Hearst and Joseph Pulitzer.
The following day, a large assembly of newsboys gathered at City Hall Park, united to form a union. They elected an 18-year-old named Louis “Kid Blink” Baletti as their president. Together, they declared a city-wide strike, demanding a reduction in the price of newspapers for newsboys. Despite the challenges, these determined youngsters achieved victory.
If only my head were a pool of water
and my eyes a fountain of tears,
I would weep day and night
for all my people who have been slaughtered.
