Day 4 of 90: After years of trying to build my own strategies, I just stumbled on the fact that I can just review the random strategies developed across tradingview by randos then weaponize and refine them. Def a time consuming task but I imagine I can learn a lot of things along the way by doing that by working through other strategists thought processes.
Gonna try and add a couple hours on a day each week to play around with that.
Already playing catch up 😅
Day 3 of 90: The trading manager asked if I had backtested any of the things we put in the dashboard (like who has time for that!?). So I'm gonna turn around and make some quick TV indicators for them to go crazy with.
Now that's delegation at its finest.
I was also surprised to hear that they themselves can't use anything fully automated in their day to day work. They still have to MANUALLY validate their findings before taking a trade.
That sounds like a nightmare....
Day 2 of 90: Met up with an institutional trading manager on a dashboard I'm building for his team. Simple strategy that comes to show that you don't need a lot to make money in the markets. More features to come that'll give them a faster edge against their competitors.
Day 1 of 90: Finishing up two tradingview strategies for a project that link to external trading systems. This assignment has forced me to grow my TV coding abilities by a ton but I feel like I can tackle most assignments after this work. We'll be taking these to MT5 and NT over the next few weeks.
Gonna start a 90 day challenge to myself to document the things I'm working on. No real reason besides getting myself and my work out in the community.
Let's get to work this year!
