As the last light began to fade off the top of Mt. Baker tonight, I captured the near full moon rising between the silo and a pancake stack of lenticular clouds! What a stunning night! Whatcom County, WA #wawx #fullmoon #moonrise #whatcomcounty

This morning's full moonset over the fall colors among the 🫐🫐! The scene was so amazing to see in person with the shaded reds, the moon sneaking below the cloud line and the birds flying overhead. #autumn🍁 #autumnvibes #fallvibes #pnw #whatcomcounty #wawx #moon #fullmoon

And just like that the DOT just closed the road to Artist Point! Ryan Morrison shared these photos and said: “4-6 inches at artist point almost a foot at the ptarmigan ridge/ chain lakes junction where it blew in.” #winter #wawx #whatcomcounty #pnw #mtbaker #artistpoint

With BLI's first seasonal freeze this past Mon., how does this rank compared to the past few years and compared to the avg. first freeze date? 2024: 11-28 (latest on record) 2025: 10-15 2026: 10-12 Avg first freeze: 10-22. So this year is 10 days earlier than avg. #wawx #pnw
