BLOCKFEST AFRICA 2026 WAS MORE THAN AN EVENT. IT WAS A WHOLE EXPERIENCE!
WHAT AN INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE AT BLOCKFEST AFRICA 2026!
I was there, I attended the sessions, I listened, I learned, I connected, and I left with so much knowledge, fresh ideas, and a renewed perspective on the future of technology in Africa.
Honestly, @blockfestafrica 2026 was an experience worth having. From the insightful conversations to the knowledge shared by industry experts, every moment reminded me of the importance of staying informed, learning continuously, and positioning myself for the opportunities ahead.
One of my biggest takeaways was seeing how blockchain, Web3, Artificial Intelligence, digital finance, and emerging technologies are shaping the future of business, innovation, and economic growth across Africa.
The conversations were eye-opening. The ideas were thought-provoking. The learning experience was valuable. And the opportunity to be in a room filled with people who are building, innovating, sharing knowledge, and thinking about the future was something I truly appreciated.
MY BIGGEST TAKEAWAYS FROM BLOCKFEST AFRICA 2026
Knowledge is power, but applying what you learn is what creates progress.
Technology is opening new opportunities for Africans who are willing to learn, adapt, and build.
Networking matters. Sometimes, one conversation introduces you to a new idea, a new opportunity, or a new direction.
Web3, blockchain, and AI are important conversations for anyone interested in the future of technology and business.
Growth requires showing up, asking questions, listening to people with experience, and remaining open to new ideas.
For me, one of the most valuable parts of attending was the opportunity to learn directly, engage with the ecosystem, and gain insights beyond what I would get from simply scrolling through social media or watching videos online.
There is something special about being present, hearing different perspectives, exchanging ideas, and connecting with people who share an interest in innovation and growth.
This is why I will always encourage people to attend meaningful events, invest in their knowledge, and put themselves in environments where learning and growth happen.
TO EVERYONE WHO MISSED BLOCKFEST AFRICA 2026, YOU MISSED A LOT!
Yes, you heard me.
You missed the conversations, the insights, the connections, the learning opportunities, and the atmosphere of being part of a growing African technology community.
But here is the good news. The next edition is another opportunity for you to be part of the experience.
Start preparing now. Follow the updates. Connect with people in the ecosystem. Keep learning about Web3, blockchain, AI, and emerging technologies.
When the next edition is announced, make plans to attend.
Don't wait until you see everyone's pictures and posts before you start wishing you had been there. Position yourself early and make the most of the opportunity.
To everyone I met, everyone who shared knowledge, and everyone who contributed to making this experience worthwhile, thank you. Every interaction adds something valuable to the journey.
I attended Blockfest Africa 2026 to learn, and I am leaving with lessons, ideas, and motivation to keep growing.
The journey does not end here. This is another step toward greater knowledge, stronger connections, and bigger opportunities.
Africa's technology ecosystem is growing, and I am glad to be part of the conversation.
Big shout out to the legend @SamuelXeus

WEB3 IS NOT JUST ABOUT BEING EARLY. IT'S ABOUT BEING PREPARED.
In Web3, everyone wants to find the next big opportunity.
People chase new tokens, explore emerging ecosystems, join communities, and look for projects that could shape the future of blockchain technology.
But there's something important we sometimes forget:
Being early means very little if you don't understand what you're getting into.
The real advantage is not simply being among the first people to discover a project. It's taking the time to understand the technology, recognize the problems it solves, and learn how its ecosystem works.
Think about it.
🔹 Every blockchain solves a problem. Understanding its architecture, transaction mechanisms, and limitations helps you see beyond the hype.
🔹 Every ecosystem needs contributors. Developers build applications, researchers investigate ideas, designers improve experiences, and writers help people understand complex concepts.
🔹 Every opportunity comes with risks. Learning about wallet security, smart contract vulnerabilities, token economics, and decentralization helps you make more informed decisions.
🔹 Every community needs people who create value. A strong Web3 ecosystem cannot survive on speculation alone. It needs people who educate, build, collaborate, and solve real problems.
This is why continuous learning matters.
You don't need to understand everything today. You don't need to be a developer to contribute. And you don't need to follow every trend to remain relevant.
Start with one concept. Understand it. Share what you learn. Ask questions. Explore different ecosystems. Build your knowledge one step at a time.
Because Web3 is evolving, and the people who keep learning will be better equipped to understand its opportunities and challenges.
The goal is not just to participate in the next big narrative.
The goal is to understand the technology well enough to contribute to what comes next.
The future of Web3 will not be built by spectators alone. It will be shaped by people willing to learn, create, experiment, and build.
Keep learning. Keep exploring. Keep building.
The next chapter of Web3 is still being written. Make sure you're learning how to read it.

My Web3 Onboarding Capstone Walkthrough
Just finished the free Web3 Onboarding pathway at @RavenNetworkHQ.
It wasn’t “watch a few videos and call it a day.” It was structured modules, quizzes, practical tasks, and actual hands-on practice. Here’s my honest walkthrough of what the journey looked like and what stuck.
Raven Academy’s free onboarding path is designed as the entry point into their contributor ecosystem. You learn the basics, prove you did the work, and build a public Nest/profile with reputation tracking.
From there you can move into the paid Creator or Builder pathways if you want deeper skills and verified credentials.
Early modules focused on the non-negotiables:
How wallets actually work (custodial vs non-custodial)
Seed phrases, private keys, and why “not your keys, not your crypto” is real
Basic security habits so you don’t lose everything to a random DM or fake site
I treated these seriously. One careless click in Web3 can wipe you out.
Then we moved into multi-chain basics. Not just “what is blockchain,” but looking at different ecosystems (TON, Ethereum, Solana, Base, etc.) and why they exist.
The goal wasn’t to become an expert overnight. It was to stop treating every chain as the same thing and understand the trade-offs.
Practical side (the part that mattered most to me):
Setting up a proper wallet
Getting testnet tokens
Sending test transactions
Doing simple DEX swaps on testnets
These modules force you to actually click the buttons instead of just reading about them. That changes how you understand gas, approvals, and explorers.
Security kept coming back. Simple rules that still catch people:
• Never share your seed phrase
• Verify links before connecting a wallet
• Don’t sign random transactions
• Revoke old approvals
•Ignore “support” DMs offering free airdrops
I already knew some of this from past experience, but seeing it framed clearly inside the course still helped.
Reputation and credentials are a big part of Raven’s model. They talk about streaks, XP, Soulbound tokens, and building a public Nest that shows what you’ve actually done.
The idea is that learning turns into visible contribution instead of just another certificate sitting in a folder.
What I liked:
It felt structured. You know what the next module is. The free path is genuinely free. There’s a clear path from “I just joined” to “I have a profile and some proof of work.”
What still requires effort: Consistency. The modules won’t make me a builder or researcher by themselves. I'll still have to publish, practice, and show up.
My personal takeaway after going through the onboarding:
Web3 is still noisy. Most people get overwhelmed by scattered YouTube videos, Telegram groups, and hype. Having a clear sequence (wallets, security, chains and practical tasks) makes the early stage less chaotic.
I’m going to keep using what I learned to write clearer threads and researching projects properly.
If you’re starting out and want a structured free path instead of random content, the Raven Web3 Onboarding is worth checking.
I submitted this thread as my capstone walkthrough.
Still learning. Still building. Still curious.

Took a look at how NFT collectibles work on getgems.io 💎
When exploring an NFT, we don't just look at the artwork. We check these 3 things:
🔹 Traits: What makes it unique, and how rare are its features?
🔹 Floor price: The cheapest NFT listed in that collection.
🔹 Creator royalty: The percentage the creator earns from resales.
An NFT is more than just a picture. Understanding these details helps us make smarter decisions before collecting. DYOR! 🫡

Module 5 of Phase One: Blockchain Evolution & Ecosystem Transition
And just like that, I’ve reached the last module of Phase One.
I’ll be taking a short break until Monday to properly revise everything I’ve learned so far and make sure I truly understand the concepts before moving forward.
This module focused on how blockchain ecosystems have evolved to solve different problems.
Bitcoin introduced peer-to-peer digital money.
Ethereum brought programmable smart contracts.
Solana focused on speed and high-throughput transactions.
TON is taking blockchain closer to mainstream users through Telegram.
We also compared Ethereum, Solana, and TON across:
• Consensus mechanism
• Transactions per second (TPS)
• Average gas fees
• Programming languages
Reaching the end of Phase One feels good, but completing the modules is only the beginning.
The real goal is understanding what I’m learning and being able to explain it in simple terms.
So I’ll use this break to revise, reflect, and strengthen my foundation before moving into the next phase.
And if you’re still thinking about starting your Web3 journey, this is your sign.
There are free Web3 onboarding courses available to help beginners understand the space step by step.
You don’t need to know everything before starting.
Start learning.
Understand the basics.
Keep improving.
Phase One complete.
Next phase loading.

The Blockchain Trilemma (Decentralization, Security, Scalability) Explained
1. Decentralization: no single boss controls it. Thousands of computers worldwide run it. Hard to shut down or censor.
2. Security: no one can cheat, hack, or double spend. Very expensive to attack.
3. Scalability: fast and cheap. Can handle thousands of transactions per second like Visa.
If you make it super fast (scalable), you usually need fewer validators less decentralized & less secure.
If you make it super decentralized & secure like Bitcoin, it's slow and expensive.
Examples that address it:
Ethereum trying to solve it:
Ethereum is decentralized plus secure, but was slow (15 TPS). Now it's fixing scalability with sharding plus Proof of Stake (The Merge) to keep decentralization and security but increase speed.
Example 2 Best solution right now: Polygon / Lightning Network / Arbitrum*
Lightning Network (L2 for Bitcoin): Bitcoin stays secure & decentralized (L1). Lightning handles millions of fast cheap payments off chain (L2), then settles back to Bitcoin. So you get all 3.
Arbitrum / Optimism (L2 for Ethereum):
Ethereum stays secure & decentralized. Arbitrum does transactions fast & cheap on top, then posts proof back to Ethereum.

Knowledge can get you started in Web3. Your contributions can take you further.
Many people enter Web3 looking for opportunities, but not everyone understands what it takes to become valuable to a community.
You don't have to be a developer to make an impact.
You can write educational content, support newcomers, research projects, manage communities, create designs, or help people understand new technology.
The important thing is to keep learning and turn that knowledge into meaningful work.
That's the kind of journey Raven Network is focused on encouraging: learning, contributing, building a reputation, and connecting people with opportunities.
Don't just be present in a community.
Become someone whose presence makes a difference.
Learn. Contribute. Build your reputation.
