Decentralization has been a founding principle of Core, and today marks another step in that commitment.
We've already seen it work. Independent validators have taken on block production, and the network has kept running without interruption throughout the handover.
Now that same model is extending across the ecosystem. As part of that evolution, I'm transitioning out of my role in the DAO, and the community will continue taking on more of Core's development.
The validators, builders, partners, and Coretoshis who power Core are already leading the way. I'm grateful to everyone I've had the chance to build alongside.
I'll always be a Coretoshi, and I'm excited to see Core continue growing as a network built to scale Bitcoin and carry its decentralized ideals forward.
Core is entering its next phase of decentralization.
Since the DAO began handing over its block-production role to independent validators, the network has run with zero downtime throughout the transition.
Decentralization has guided Core since its first block. Each handoff of DAO initiatives to independent community operators builds on that foundation.
Now, the community will continue taking on a greater share of stewardship across Core, from ecosystem building and growth initiatives to the decisions that shape its direction. As part of this transition, initial contributors like Rich Rines and Brendon Sedo are stepping out of their roles in the DAO.
A network owned and led by its community is built to last. In the months ahead, more independent operators, more community-led projects, and more Coretoshi voices will shape where Core goes next.
Thank you to every validator, builder, and Coretoshi continuing to carry Core forward. Bitcoin's full potential remains untapped. Core will keep pushing that frontier forward, in service of decentralization, self-sovereignty, and freedom.

We do not use PHP anywhere in our stack, so this week's PHP vulnerabilities do not affect SOIL.
No action is needed from users.

You shouldnβt need to compare DEXs, pools, and routes just to make a swap.
Pick what you want to trade.
AKKA handles the routing across available liquidity.
Simple on the surface, Serious infrastructure underneath.

Five questions any Bitcoin treasury should ask a counterparty before signing:
1. Are you regulated or licensed for the services you provide, and in which jurisdiction?
2. Who holds the assets?
3. Are they segregated from yours?
4. What's the legal claim if you fail?
5. How fast can we exit?
A great yield answers none of them.

Core DAO lets bitcoin holders stake without giving up custody, and dual staking pairs BTC with $CORE for higher rewards.
SatPay, the @Coredao_Org neobank, opened beta in March, letting users borrow stablecoins against yielding BTC to fund a debit card.

Today, we published an ARFC on the @aave governance forum to propose native Bitcoin to Aave V4 as collateral through Babylon Trustless Bitcoin Vaults (TBV).
The proposal includes two new Aave V4 Spokes; Babylon Spoke and BTCVault Swap Spoke for borrowing and liquidation settlement, revenue sharing terms and AAVE, BABY buybacks.
If approved and implemented, Bitcoin holders can lock their native Bitcoin on the Bitcoin chain self-custodially, and use it as collateral to borrow supported assets on Aave V4, without wrapping, bridging, tri-party escrow, or sending their Bitcoin to third parties.
Risk parameters for both Spokes will be provided by Aave's risk service providers.
Subject to Aave governance review and approval.

PSA the ledger incident isn't limited to Asia
This is a device purchased in store from an official reseller in Europe (a legitimate device doesn't have any of these cables as can be seen in picture 2)
This even seems to be an old version of the 'spy implant' even though the device was purchased a couple of weeks ago. The newer versions usually hide the implant by the screen so it's easier to miss
What's interesting is that this compromised ledger never transfered funds to an exploiter. Either the device didn't work or they were waiting for a more widespread usage of the comprised devices?
If you own a ledger that didn't directly come from the ledger online store make sure to not just rely on the software genuinely check by ledger but to actually open up the ledger yourself to make sure its original, again there are reported cases in Asia, south America and now Europe as well.
@MagicalTux made some useful videos on how to open the ledger and what to look for.

ITΒ΄S THE 10/10 SCAM ANNIVERSARY!!! β¨
A year ago they gave us the BIGGEST liquidation in the history of crypto! Almost 20B was wiped out from our bags by an orchestrated forced selloff by the cartel market makers.
BUT
We refused to quit! We learned the tricks and fought back! Today we're standing united and ready to claim back what's ours; The bull that we've waited for over 5 years.
If you're still here, grinding every day for a better future, you're an absolute LEGEND!!! πͺ
Here's to all my DEGENS who have went through TOO MUCH of scams, rugs, manipulation and failed runs!
WAGMI!!! π₯πβ¨πͺ

The biggest bitcoin:native stack gets the headlines. What happens beyond the leaderboard?
For corporate Bitcoin, two questions deserve more attention:
What do the coins do?
Can shareholders see how?
Thatβs why @BTCS_SA's focus on strategy and ESPI disclosure is worth watching, along with its partners @ZIGFinance and @Coredao_Org!
179 listed companies hold Bitcoin. One holds 65.5% of all corporate BTC.
The other 178 can't win the race for the biggest pile.
The interesting ones ask what their coins do. Ours have gone into validation, a completed liquidity programme and options, each disclosed in ESPI.

Decentralized πͺ
Core is taking another step towards decentralization.
Since 2023, DAO-operated validators have helped keep blocks flowing as independent operators joined and strengthened the network. Together, these validators have supported years of uninterrupted block production.
Over the coming months, the DAO will fulfill its long-term plan and begin the process of gradually handing over its remaining block-production role to independent validators, building on the work these operators already do to keep Core running.
This transition marks a new chapter for Core, with independent operators powering the network.
Thank you to every validator and Coretoshi who has helped move Core forward.
