Something like this happened to me at a perfume store about 2 years ago. Normal me, I wore my shorts and shirt, with crocs, entered the store, there was a man, with his friend, they would most likely be in their late 40s. Looking all bossy and yunno of course they were in the native “senator” attire. I reached the front desk, I asked to make an inquiry, that’s how the sales reps, started passing me around, as per they want to attend to the other two men, like 3 of them, kept transferring me to the next rep, and they went to flock around the two men. They had to call someone from the back room to come help me with my inquiry. It was like, “Wetin this one wan buy” 😂 I ended up buying stuff up over 500k ( and no it wasn’t to prove anything, I wanted to buy a gift for myself and my girl ) I just wanted to be sure if they had certain fragrances that @AllthingsAyO recommended to me then Those men eventually left without buying anything as the other reps were about to settle down, they saw the rep processing my receipt, and Jesus, I can never forget that energy switch up, all of a sudden, they were suggesting and recommending other brands. Bro, I was just confused , cause you people literally refused to attend to me, why the switch up. 😭😭😭 I just smiled and took my stuff and left. I doubt it’s a “Nigerian” thing cause these things happen in the western world. People judge based on appearance. It was crazy 😭cause shey na because I wear crocs una reason me less ??
