Slowly emerging from hibernation now the kids are back to school 😴 What’s been going in the swimming Twitter-sphere? We are back soon right? – at Salford, England
Not again! How will teams navigate this mountain? Would be nice to see @BorisJohnson support ALL sports and their facilities! Bouncing back from a health crisis means investing NOW! Otherwise a generation of young sportsmen & women come this summer will have left for good! – at Manchester, England
Very saddened to hear this. I mean c’mon - it’s PONDS FORGE. Hopefully the council and government can step in here. A major blow for swimming in GB. Fingers crossed it’s sorted as quickly as possible 🤞🏽 – at Manchester, England
"It's devastating for the swimming, diving and water polo clubs based there, for the staff who work there, for the generation of youngsters who would have learned how to swim there..."
@JMNSwimmer expresses disappointment at the news @PondsForge will be mothballed⬇️ #SaveLeisure
2 posts in 2 days! Very unlike me but to hell with it as THE COUNTDOWN HAS BEGUN FOR POOLS!!!!!! 🎉🎉🎉 Just a tad excited, for the kids obviously! Been rehearsing my first visit to the baths 🤣🤣🤣 – at Manchester, England
Is anyone else getting rather hacked off with this waiting around gubbins? Of course patience is important but @BorisJohnson if pubs are open, PLEASE OPEN OUR BLOOMING POOLS. Yours sincerely, swimming parents everywhere. – at Salford, England
Managed to sneak off work to watch the news & pleased I can have my hair cut, but cannot go to the gym & the kids cannot go for a swim? Seemingly because those activities don’t lower the risk of huge physical/mental health issues in the same way haircutting does - hang on what? – at Salford, England
I missed the boat but pool reopening guidance was released yesterday by @Swim_England - Marvelous step in the right direction. Look forward to seeing everyone splashing up and down again soon. Also a chance for some incessant whining I’m sure but you can’t keep everyone happy 🤣

It will last all of 2 minutes then normal baby sitting and obsessive balcony behaviour will resume!
So here is a thought. Maybe when we head back to the pool we can all be more appreciative of the club volunteers, coaches & just allow the swimmers to actually just ENJOY going for a swim instead of stressing about pbs. Maybe? Please? We’ve all seen how much they’ve missed it 😢 – at Manchester, England
What a different a month makes. It’s okay though as I have set up a lifeguard chair and am monitoring my kids splashing around in the paddling pool. Even finding a chance to offer some constructive feedback on their splashing. Maybe I should just let them play #isolationproblems

Best tweet on this subject today. I’m completely with you, swimming, as with most things, will have to take a back seat while we get the country back to normal

Fantastic good news story for a difficult period! @Swim_England @britishswimming @Dad72Swim @RealSwimParent @adam_peaty @Jimbob95goon @andrewg24190595 @Natswimleague @kentswimming @arenaUK_ – at Bromley, London
Fantastic to see the Bromley community spirit shine through - thanks to all those parents who have kindly offered to continue to pay their training fees whilst swimming has been suspended. Your club thanks you. 🙏🏻 #alwaysbetter #bekind

Terrible time for small sports clubs at the moment. Most, not all, but most of us still get paid during this challenging period. If you want your sport and club to be here at the end of this epidemic, consider paying your subs as you would. Costs don't just stop for clubs.🏊♀️🏊♀️🏊♀️
Slithering out of isolation to tell my balcony dwelling compatriots to get a bloody grip. Harping on about cancelled practices, swim galas & opportunities missed. It’s a global crisis leading to people DYING. Swimming can wait. 6 months, 1 year, 2 years! #getreal #perspective 🌍
OMG actual parent merchandise! If we offered it I think it may be quite rude haha 🤣 #inspired #checkitout
OMFG. The Swim Taxi Store is now open. 🛍👚🚕
Check out: theswimtaxi.teemill.com
No excuses now for Chrimbo clobber for your better half. Or your swim mates. Or your club do.
And add "socky" at checkout to get a free pair of bamboo socks. What's not to love? 🧦
Lots of chatter in the gallery tonight about this new league competition that took place in London this weekend. Made a refreshing change from the usual comments. It was actually all rather positive 🙌🏻 When is the next one everyone?
With @imacelebrity starting again, we’ve got a great tool to speed up the foyer waiting game, aka mum and dads lingering waiting for swimmers to get changed...usually at a snails pace 🐌
I mean I never considered a line of mechanise, but I mean check it out 👇🏻 #swimparent #merch #imthedaddy
It's time to think about what to gift that #Swim Team Parent in your circle of friends. Check out these Reach for the Wall themed socks, jerseys, coasters, leggings, and more. #swimming zazzle.com/store/teepossible…
